is there anyway you can edit the schedule and season to where you start into the 06 instead of the 05 season

You could update schedule.dbf to reflect next year's schedule when it's released, but there's no way for the game to recognise the first year as 2005/2006 (which by the way is next season, not 2006/2007 ).
