:? hang on, in a thread that mentions 2 comedians I say I like 1 of them and not the other, and I don't like anything? You're just one of them though, "He a nigga, bitch!" and you'd piss yourself laughing. Grow a brain and you might start to like some decent humour. Or you can continue watching American comedy shows that lets face it, you really don't get but think you do anyways.

Do you like Chris Rock?
(most of the time if people dont like Chappelle they dont like Chris Rock. I'm just wondering though)

I like his movies but I can't stand his act. There's an episode of the Simpsons where Homer is watching some black comedian, and he's like "You know, black people.. we drive like this *does cool driving pose*... and white people, they drive like this *does geeky looking pose*" it's the same kinda thing, I can see why people find it funny but I guess I'm too close to 50 to enjoy it.

If you wanna talk about stand-up comedy I don't think anyone can beat Eddie Murphy (Raw, Delerious) thats true comedy. Chappelle is only funny cuz he says shit in his skits people wouldn't dare to say before. Not all his stuff is funny. Rock is the same sometimes, but in the end its all personal preference.
Preparation will only take you so far. After that you've got to take a few leaps of faith.

Richard Pryor. Constantly forgotten... Him and Carlin are my top 2. 'You ain't leaving in that car', 'The seven words you can't say on tv', c'mon guys.

A lot of people don't like this sketch from Chapelle's Show but it's one of my favourites. When he talks about how he doesn't listen to people when they just com up to him and pitch him ideas and where his mind wanders. Arsenio Hall at a wine and cheese party, him being a rapper with that riduculous 'gimmick' and that singing/humming, I'm laughing right now.

I used to think Bean was really funny when I was a bit younger... I like the sort of more subtle stuff though. The Office (UK) is one of my favourite shows (Y)

..........................hmmmmm looks like theres millions of other people who need to grow a brain aswell, considering Chappelle's series 1 DVD was the highest selling Series DVD.
I do get the humour actually. No need to be an asshole to me coz u dont get it.

That is the most stupidest thing ive ever heard.
You like Chris Rocks movies but not his stand-up act???
Most of his movies hes using some of his stand-up act
Down to Earth,Head Of State, even as that little hamster thing in Dr. Dolittle.

But i think i can see why you dont like this, the Homer joke, The Chappelle show and Chris Rock comedy you dont like.
You just dont like racial humour, which is fair enough, cant argue that, your opinion.

P.S i also find Bean quite amusing

Right, so because it's popular it's good. Nice one.

I do get the humour actually. No need to be an asshole to me coz u dont get it.

I am sick to death of this. Everytime someone takes a shot at me, I respond and they're like "you don't have to be an asshole about it". YOU FUCKING STARTED IT DUMBASS. Geez, don't be so fucking stupid.

I like his movies but I can't stand his act. Start reading your own posts then genius.

I meant the constant racial things, everyone got what I meant except you. He doesn't write the scripts in his movies, he does however write his standup acts. I'd assume.

But i think i can see why you dont like this, the Homer joke

Wtf did I say about not liking the Homer joke? Jesus, try and have some sign of brain activity before you speak. I used it as an example to show what I think about people like Chris Rock, you're an idiot.

Dead set, don't pull this "you didn't have to be an asshole to me " bullshit. You could've EASILY expressed your opinion about my comedic tastes without saying I was boring and 50 years old. If you want to start shit, I'm going to be an asshole. If you can't take it, fuck off.

Just so you know, Down to Earth and Head of State he co-wrote.
He also was the executive producer of Down to Earth and Directed Head of State.

I'm sorry for calling you an asshole, i apolagise, but this
Sounds like some of you guys will laugh at anyone who yells "NIGGA!" loud enough.

Pissed me off so badly, cause im one of the biggest Chris Rock and Chappelle fans, and there is a lot more to them than just screaming "NIGGA!"

Wtf did I say about not liking the Homer joke? Jesus, try and have some sign of brain activity before you speak. I used it as an example to show what I think about people like Chris Rock, you're an idiot.

Once again, you just think Chris Rock is all about Racial jokes, and again your wrong.
Actually watch a stand-up act, He does all the real-life stuff, like Politics,Relationships,Growing up,Bad Neighbourhoods etc. Heck he even went on about insurance, and called it "In-case shit"(this was used In his Bigger n Blacker Act and Down To Earth).
Personally i like Chris Rock better then Chappelle, only margianly but i do.

Heres one Jae, What about Adam Sandler?

You've got it wrong again. I said I dislike the racial part of his act, I didn't say his whole act was race related.

Heres one Jae, What about Adam Sandler?

Never seen his stand up, never heard any of his songs and I like about 60% of the Sandler movies I've seen. So basically I don't like or dislike him either way.

Red Dwarf was a kick ass show, but it was too good for the ABC so they canned it.

Arrested Development owned too but channel 7 instead decided to cut it because they dont allow funny shows on their station.

Richard Pryor = overrated.

uh oh! I knew that gonna start some shit LOL.. Pryor is NOT overrated man. It's a different genre of comedy, depends how old you are and if you remember him back in the day..he was the reason Eddie Murphy got into comedy!

He's the Public Enemy of comedy. Opened up new subject matter and brought it to the forefront of the media, while doing great stand-up. Just like PE did while making rgeat music.

Actually, the show's basically on hiatus while they try to get the Red Dwarf movie off the ground. Not sure if the ABC still have the rights to show the re-runs, though UKTV on Foxtel was showing it a couple of months back.

Richard Pryor is amazing. I've seen the special from...'79? The one he's got that red shirt on and has the bit about shooting the car. And "I'm Not Dead Yet M@#&%!'s" which is basically highlights of his career with other comedians and famous people talking about him. But it's still funny.
