Installing Zach's Rookie Pack - Can't FIX APPEARANCE ISSUES

All works well, I can add and play the rooks. One problem though, the skin colors, and sometimes the heights of players are way off (Nate Robinson is about 6-6, Andrew Bogut is brownskinned and 6-3, Shawn May and Charlie Villaveuva have light faces and very dark bodies.

And yes, I've tried going to the appearance.dbf file to make changes, and I have, but they do no seem to have any effect. Please help! It makes a potentially nice game addition an annoyance since the looks are so far off in come cases.
