NOVEMBER 2-1

Hi, I'm the new general manager for the Indiana Pacers. I'll be reporting about our team maybe once every two weeks...and I'll be evaluating the players, and I hope I'll make the right moves to improve the team. It's November, we will have 3 games coming up. I can see that these players are trying to get back in shape playing some real defense.

November 8
Two nights ago, we won the game at Golden State 119-96. I'm really pleased with their efforts, Stephen should always play like that. He had 34 pts on 10/14 shooting and a lot of free throws. Even though BD scored 36, but we forced him to give up the ball couple of times and he had 12 turnover alone! Overall, the team did great...but I'm worried about Ron, he had a flu...and haven't joined us ever since training camp. Hopefully next month we can have him back to the lineup and give us some defensive intensity.

PS: I just went on cloudysports.net, and noticed that King James was injured in his first game, and will be out 4-6 weeks. This kid is outstanding, he's one of those players that every GM wants right now.

November 21
Ok, about last night's embarassing game at Washington, that just drove the entire management including me mad, scoring just 7 points in the last quarter...that's 12 minutes. No No No! Those guys allowed the Wiz to shoot above 50%, and Arenas and Hughes scored 30 a piece and ruined our pace. I was so frustrated sitting courtside, our players just werent executing well...they're not swinging the ball to the open man at all. We shot 33% and had only 6 points off the bench. This is a really dissappointing loss, 84-104. I just called Rick, and we have a few guys we'll trade.

Our next game will be at Dallas, hope things will go our way.

November 23
We proposed a trade to Milwaulkee and they accepted it. We decided to send: Fred Jones, Eddie Gill, Anthony Johnson
And they send us: Michael Redd, Erick Strickland, Anthony Goldwire
I think we definately won in this trade, Redd is known for his super fast jumpshot and his shooting abilities. He's fast, he plays like Reggie...perhaps we'll have some Redd Time?


November 26
Haha, this game was a thriller. Thanks Reggie for the game winning three pointer! Thanks! We love you! Right now I'm in the hotel room, heart still pumping hard from the excitement of the game. We have 7 players in double figures, with O'neal leading with 24 points, 14 boards and 2 blocks. We played great clean ball game throughout the three quarters. But this Mark Cuban all of a sudden just ran into their bench and was shouting something. I'm watching him from the second row...I laughed so badly, his shirt is just hilarious. Haha. So right after he shouted to the guys, especially Michael Finley...those guys just exploded. They have Jason, Mike, Josh, Keith, and Dirk firing those god damn three pointers. It seems like Mark Cuban installed some sucker in the hoop that sucks the ball in, they just keep falling. So our 14 point lead is all gone within minutes. Oh well, we still won...Miller Time always work.
And Jermaine was named Player of the Game, and Ron who played his first game of the year had 17 points. Newly acquired Redd had 22 points and shot 11/14 from the field. Impressive.

Philadelphia the Brotherly City or whatever they call is our next destination. December 1, let's see what Iverson and Webber have for us. See you guys.

AI Fires Game Winning 3
L 75-77 :: POG - Allen Iverson

Right before the game started, Glenn Robinson and I agreed on a contract for 1 year, he'll be adding more depth for us in the bench. Right now he's in L.A. with his family, he'll be expected to join us tomorrow morning for practice.

So we visited the Brotherly City of Philedelphia, I was pretty sure we could have beaten them easily. I was quite right at first...but Iverson's 43 points and his game winning 3 just ruined our game. We lost yet another close one, 75-77. Artest and O'neal had dub-double points and rebounds, 18-15 and 15-14. Redd added 20 for us, but his matchup AI2 had 23 and dunked on him several times. Our team definately needs more training, they outshot us 52% to 36%, we're not swinging the ball well enough throughout the game. We always do well the first two quarters, but start being taken over by opponents in the final quarter. Sixers 16-4 run in the fourth fueled them to victory.

Next game we'll play Clippers at home, easy.

Blowout Win at Staples
W 110-65 :: Boxscores:: POG - Jeff Foster

Hi, I'm back from the game and writing a big red W on my calendar. We won the Clippers easily, it was a total blowout. Our starting line-up combined for 94 points and killed Clippers defense inside. Jermaine, Jeff and Ron dominated Brand and Kaman down in the post. Jamal dished out 10 dimes and scored 10 on 2-2 three point shooting for us. And Robinson had his debut game, scored 7 points in 16 minutes.

The Clippers never seem or doesnt even seem to want the win, they were trailing us from the start of the game, and allowed us to pull the gap bigger and bigger. I'm really happy with this game.

We'll visit Milwaukee on the sixth, it's Redd's first game against his former team.

Fred Jones strong fourth lifts Bucks over Pacers
Grrr...Remember our last lost to Sixers? The stupid game winning three by Iverson? Dang, this time it was our former player Freddy Jones. He played well throughout the game and led the Bucks in points and assists, 28-9. He outscored Redd by a huge margin, Redd hit only 5 out of 21 shots and committed a few unforced turnovers. This is a bad lost, each player played so so and didn't lead their team mates to victory. I'm tired now, our next game is at home...Yao Co. will visit us.

W 89-83 :: Boxscores :: POG - Ron Artest

LaFrentz's debut was a solid effort, posting up 9 points and 11 rebounds. We won the game 89-83, thanks for Ron's big 28 points game and limiting Tracy to only 13 points. Yao Ming made consecutive turn around jumpers leading a 6-0 run and cutting the deficit to just three. But Artest's only three made it count, extending the gap to 6 as time expires and the Rockets gave up their game without fouling.

Surprising Al & Surprising Lost
L 101-102 :: Boxscores :: POG-Al Harrington

This lost wasn't expected at all, we weren't prepared...and we prejudged them. Al Harrington came out strong tonight doing everything for the Hawks, and they came out from half time break really strong and cut all the deficit and led by 3 with only 31 seconds left on the clock. We weren't able to score again after Redd made it a 1 point game...foul wasn't needed with only 2 seconds left, so the buzzer sounded and yet another shameful lost. Tony Delk was impressive contributing off the bench, scoring 16 points in just 17 minutes. While our bench contributed only 21 points with Foster leading with 16 pts and 7 boards.

Redd and Tinsley both had great games. "Jermaine really has to step up, we've had a couple of losts that we shoulda won...In those games, what 's Jermaine doing? He wasn't even defended that well...but yet wasn't manage to score," said Reggie, who also had an embarrassing 2 points game on 0/5 shooting.

Next game is against New Orleans Hornets, now we can't say they're bad...even though they're on a 5 game skid.

Easy Win for Pacers

NEW ORLEANS – With Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal leading your defence, heading into New Orleans to take on the rebuilding Hornets would never be a challenge. And Indiana certainly did not disappoint.

The 106-94 saw what could potentially be the return to glory for Indy star O'Neal. Jermaine, who has been averaging a disappointing 17 points throughout the season so far, fired up and led the Pacers to victory with a powerful 21 point, 10 rebound performance.

Kicking of the game in dominating form, the Pacers led 31-23 at the half, on the back of sweet shooting guard, Michael Redd. Redd was given the task of locking up Hornets rook JR Smith, and managed to keep him to only 12 points.

How's the team doing
Their entire team have been playing well together after the Vince Carter trade, with Rose leading the team with 20 points per game. They just won a big game against defending champions, 110-89. Chris Bosh should be the key factor tonight guarding Jermaine O'Neal.

Key Matchups
The backcourts will be evenly matched up, Artest will be guarding their key scorer, Rose. While Peterson will be very well matched with Redd because of their quick and accurate shots. With Araujo and Bosh inside, LaFrentz and O'Neal should take advantage of their mid-range shooting properly, and this game should be easily won.

Catch Me If You Can, Raptors...

As expected, Pacers shook the Raptors early in the first and led throughout the game. The Raptors never came close. Jermaine O'Neal came out strong and forced Araujo to early foul trouble, to score 26 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, including two three-pointers in the 8-0 first quarter run.

"The big men report just came out saying that JO's not playing properly," said Redd, "so I stepped up and took advantage of their early foul troubles." Redd had 32 points and limited Peterson to just 6 field goal attempts.

Artest and Rose who were previewed to matchup well had similar stats, but Artest played nose-to-nose defense with him and didn't allow him to score his normal 20+ points.

"I thought they played really well, we outscored them every quarter and we won it easily. We shot 25 more free shots then them, that's good...despite missing 11. I love it when O'Neal really steps it up, hopefull he'll get back in shape and play like last season." said Coach Rick.

The Pacers will visit Pistons next game, preview will be up soon.

How's the team doing
They're playing extremely well right now, almost the same roster from last year's championship team. Wallace brothers have been playing real old school in your face defense, while the Palace Prince had been putting up bigger numbers from last year. Rip Hamilton is as annoying as usual running everywhere, while Billups will hit big shots. They are a monster team, and we should expect a really low or really high scoring against them.

Key Matchups:
JO <-> Wallaces, the brothers will definately try to shut JO down, no matter what
Artest <-> Prince, both can play defense and offense...very hard to compare
Redd <-> Rip, annoying Hamilton will definately make Redd run around, but Redd's outside shooting can compete and matchup well
