Do you have any teams in mind? You'll enjoy Dynasty Mode a lot more if you pick a team that suits your style of play as well as your plans for building for the future. Pick a team with a roster that you like, or one with trade possibilities that will allow you to build the roster you want.

maybe u could help:

i would like to get a team based on defense and a team that i could get some solid backups (not that great but good enough)

and do u believe that in order to have a fun dynasty you have to have a bad team?

Detroit or San Antonio spring instantly to mind.

I don't believe you need to take control of a bad team, just one that you can have fun with. If you want to do some rebuilding or would like a challenge, pick a bad team. Otherwise, you might prefer a middle of the pack or one of the top teams.

Sonics might be interesting, they've got a couple of good scorers and there are a few trade possibilities. You might want to play a couple of exhibition games with them though and take a look at their roster before you make a decision.

Yea,what Andrew said; just pick your favourite team and you'll get the most fun out of it.
I for instance can only play well with Miami because I'm used to their bench and all the player abilities. Plus,it fits my playing style, thus it's the team I enjoy playing the most.

As a die-hard Sonics fan...i must say in NBA Live at least the Sonics don't have great defense. Your best defender is probably Ray Allen. Rashard Lewis has a Def.Awareness of 40, so does Radmanovic, Ridnour & AD are average.

If you want plenty of defense and a deep bench...CHICAGO!

Indiana Pacers

You have decent shot blockers: O'Neal, Harrison, Davis and Bender...
You have good defenders: Artest..Harrison, O'Neal...
Then you have good shooters: Miller, Tinsley, Jackson..etc
And slahers: Jones, Jackson..Artest
And strong men: Foster, Pollard...
Dunk Contest eligable dunkers: Jones, Bender...

Excellent potential..and easy to trade

Decide...

Yeah, Indiana is a pretty nice team to start a dynasty with, there are very few players u want to get rid of because of age or skill. The same is valid for Chicago, but Indiana is the better team from the beginning, while Chicago needs 1 or 2 years to become a championship contender. Another young, talented and balanced team are the Grizzlies.
