Chicago Bulls vs Charlotte Bobcats

Image
Antonio Davis overpowering Lonnie Jones.

Bulls win 99-96.

Without Woods, who's out for surgery on a broken orbital bone, the Bobcats struggled against a brilliant Chicago Bulls team. Kirk Hinrich led his teamates to a short victory, 99-96, scoring 22 points coming along with 10 assists and 7 rebounds. He was one of the 4 Bulls players to score at least 19 points (the others being Gordon, Deng, Davis).
On the Bobcats side, Wagner scored 19 and gave 6 assists while Outlaw scored 16. Lonnie Jones had another great rebounding night with 12 boards, and 6th man Primoz Brezec scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Bobcats have to prove the can play without Woods like they did Tuesday with the short victory (100-96) against the Celtics...

Game Boxscore
Hinrich had 10 assists
Wagner dribbling between the legs ...
... and hitting the three
Antonio Davis dunking on Lonnie Jones
Charlotte Bobcats' timeout
Dajuan Wagner with the superb no look assist

January 28th 2005

Charlotte Bobcats forward Qyntel Woods underwent successful surgery to repair a broken bone in his left eye socket this morning, after suffering the fracture during a contact with Eric Williams' elbow in the overtime win 119-114 against the Toronto Raptors. Woods received six stitches above his left eye.
This morning he was back to practice, wearing the same type of mask that Rip Hamilton. He didn't participate to team practice, but work alone on his 3 pointer and on his overall shoot.
"I still can't totally open my left eye, but i'm doing fine and my shoot isn't suffering from that", Wood said.
Expect him to be back against Utah on February 4th 2005.

Portland Trailblazers vs Charlotte Bobcats

Image
Masked Woods did well against his ex-teamates.

Bobcats win 108-99

Tonight was Qyntel Woods come back after injury and come back to Portland, his former team. And that was a nice come back ... Player of the game, team rebounding leader, team second scorer, Woods had one of those nice you don't forget. He kept shaking his friend Darius Miles with some nice crossovers and fakes. Wagner led the team in assists with 9 dishes while Travis "Skyes Outlaw" Outlaw was the scoring leader for the Bobcats. Primoz Brezec is starting to learn the game (10 point coming along with 8 rebounds) and will probably be a starter in the near future.
As for the Trailblazers, Stoudamire, Anderson and Miles took the scoring job (respectively 23, 24, 17 points) but it wasn't enough to stop the growing Bobcats who seem to have a nice future in front of them...

Game Boxscore
Darius Miles dunking on the fastbreak
Malik Allen swatting Van Exel attempt
Emeka is looking tight in his new jersey
Qyntel Woods with the 360' dunk on a fastbreak
Dajuan Wagner scoring with a nice one handed shot

On February 6th, the Bobcats gave Jason Kapono to the Atlanta Hawks for point guard Royal Ivey.
Image
Jason Kapono wasn't playing that much in Charlotte and wanted to be given more minutes on the floor, and that's what is going to happen in Atlanta.
Royal Ivey will play as Dajuan Wagner's backup in a Bobcats team who needed a second point guard to help Wagner. Ivey will not play 48 minutes per game, but his defense will help the team when needed.

Wagner and Ivey have been practicing on defense together this morning.

The dunk contest will this year have 8 participants, this to make sure the show is there. Last year dunk contest, with Fred Jones winning the contest on a missed dunk, was one of the weakest of the history, so the NBA decided to come back to 8 participants instead of 4.

nice call hopsing

luvin' that Outlaw injury pic and the fact he's now wearing a mask

and as for resizing pics down without losing image quality, you can just crop pics down using something like Abode Photoshop and then resizing them, and when you save them, you can save them at maximum quality

keep up the good work....

Looks like Wagner likes it doggy style  Nice trade by getting Ivey, not TOO big and I could see the Bobcats doing that. Good setup with the All-Star teams too.
