EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT SEATTLE FINALLY GRAB A WIN!!!!!!!

SEATTLE BOUNCES BACK

SEATTLE -92
DETROIT -76

After a disappointing opening night game, the Sonics went straight at Detroit’s interior defense last Thursday to capture a 16 point win via 92-76 score in hometown Seattle. Early on it was a big scare as Detroit’s defense slowed the main guards down as they rallied into a 24-14 first quarter cushion which showed a lot of steals and turnovers for starting seattle point guard steve nash. “the defensive intensity they showed early on was just phenomenal, but we did pull through, we just stick to our game” says Nash who is just 1-8 from the field but dished out 7 assist.Image
“we did great at the second quarter and there were times that the team just felt like scoring in bunches and I’m glad it did carry thru the third period” says Manu Ginobili who is the starting five’s top scorer which scored 17 points. But the big story really came from the bench of seattle where dirk nowitzki Imagescored a blazing 19points in just 23 minutes and going for 9-11 shooting. “he was just on fire, anything he throws up it just look good and it went in without even touching the net” says prince who guarded nowitzki in the middle of the game. All in all the effort was well worth it as the sonics get adjusted to the piston’s choking defense by doing double pick and rolls and shooting scorching hot from the field at 54%. “they never gave us a chance after the first quarter, this game belongs to them, kudos to the whole sonic team it was a valiant team effort” piston coach larry brown commentedImage

yep, I agree with dweaver....pls resize those pics down....it's hard for us 56k-ers like me (or 28-30k-ers like Jae)

haha....seems funny seeing all those white fellas....one question though....why have a 7'6" Yao at PF and Gasol at C?!? :?

Thu Jun 09, 2005 11:05 am

i used yao at PF to create mismatches..and my play double high always have the PF low post....YAO has eaten a lot of tiny PF at that spot..i am alsotyring to use brad miller more at C and rest YAO for Pau, and can't you believe it? i play dirk as SG too....man it sure is fun to let this guys play...no flashy dunks and anything just pure basketball.  i'll have the next game soon with resized pics. :D by the way lemme ask you guys? what photo editor do you guys used to resized em screen shots? any recommendations?

Thu Jun 09, 2005 1:10 pm

OVERTIME HEARTBREAKER

Memphis-112
Seattle-107

Memphis. It was another heartbreaking lost for the Sonics Sunday as they suffered their 2 nd lost in 3 outings, via an overtime kill of 112-107 against the talented grizzlies. The Sonics came out sluggish in the early minutes and allowed the grizzlies to come up with 28 points in the opening salvo.
Image
“It was devastating, I have so many open look in the basket but I missed them on early” says Nash who finished the game with a dismal 5-18 shooting. By the end of the 3 rd period the Sonics find themselves down by five and with a few ticks to go in the fourth were able to find themselves in a winning position with a 3 point lead with 13 seconds to go. “I thought we are going to bag a road win, we need just one more stop” says head coached of the Sonics Stan van Gundy.
Image
But Jason Williams have another thing in his mind, with only 8 seconds left he drives and fumbled the ball against Nash, but with much determinations dives to grab the lose ball and was able to dish out to mike miller with 1.7 seconds to go.
Image
Mike miller then burry a 27 footer to put the team into overtime. “I never expected him to hit it but it just goes to show what a wild night it was” says Jason Williams. In the overtime the grizz never look back as they take a 6 point lead early on and finished the game with a 5 point lead. “It was a disappointing lose, guess it is back to the drawing board then” says Donald Trump owner of the Sonics.

OH! It's COOLMAC!!! Make use of your players and run a play in which everyone runs into the paint!! Just screen shoot, get open and pro-hop and dunk man! If that's the roster you like, you gotta like those lame plays...lol

Mon Jun 20, 2005 4:18 pm

thanks.....with these lineups i get no flashy dunks and extraordinary speeds.....but i do get high percentage shooting mostly because these guys can shoot (Y) and the lack of defensive intensity is the big downfall for the WHITE men ball club  anywyas i'll post the next game tomorrow  PEACE OUT

Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:01 pm
