Problem importing a cyberface...

Wed Jun 01, 2005 10:54 am

I recently created my first cyberface (and I just got the game 2 days ago :D):

I tried installing it (using some crappy tutorial) but I ended up messing up and having to reinstall NBA Live completely.

Can someone direct me to a good tutorial for putting it in?

Thanks...

That looks hot! Anyway, you need to convert that pic to a fsh file. Use FshX tool. Name it, for example, YONAME_.fsh. Also, extract a headshape files from .../NBA LIVE 2005/sgsm/players of specific player. Those are plyrgrb.viv, plyrgrc.viv, plyrgrd.viv, plyrlodb.viv, plyrlodc.viv, plyrlodd.viv. Rename them to YONAME__B.ebo etc. Then put all files to .../NBA LIVE 2005/sgsm folder. Now you need to edit appereance.dbf and players.dbf of your dynasty/roster.

- Create yourself in game and save that *roster*
- Open players.dbf from ...My Documents/NBA Live 2005/saves/previously saved roster
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Find your field
- Change fields ISCREATED, FACEPATCH, ISGENERATE to FALSE
- Change his PLAYERPKG to example YONAME_
- Remember his ID7
- Save settings
- Open appearance.dbf from same roster folder
- Find that ID7
- Change his FACEID to -1
- Change his ID7 to YONAME_
- Save settings

I hope that this will help.

As Lpasso said put the files in the SGSM folder. You can not screw up the game doing it this way. If you screw up the files and the game crashes then just delete the offending files and try again. You won't have to re-install the game. Too many people try to import files into the VIV or BIG files and this causes problems. Plus using the SGSM folder is much easier and will save you from many headaches. Looks good for a first cyberface.
