Each game has randomly assigned names. You can't have the same names in two different games, barring extreme coincidence.

seems like i can never find a chinese prospect. i always get guys with asian names, only to find out that they are like from new zealend.

True. One of my best Asian players Fujita is from Lebanon (boggle).
But look out for Iniko Iwanaka. He's from Beijing, and he's a very good 6'7" SG. (isn't Iwanaka a japanese name tho?).

well i've had a rodney iwanaka, 7'0 center extremely fast and deadly blocker, hes also from beijing and yea iwanaka is a japanese name

I've got both Wolf (7 foot SF) and Abraham (6-8 PG) in my current dynasty. I've gotten both these guys plus Taylor (7-2 PF) from the recent draft. Shaq (7-1) and Lebron (6-8 SG) make up the starting lineup. Taylor, Abraham and Wolf are all pretty raw, but by training whenever possible they are showing development.

My bench is all either current rookies or rookies from the previous year.

Who needs experience?

Nope, at least in the PS2 version they are not random. I have 2 different dynasty save files with the exact same rookie. Not only name (Sekani Bailey) but he has the same height, weight, skin color, face, and hairstyle. HIs stats are slightly different but the trends are the same. That's not the only case either.

Damn! That's very cool...i was beginning to think 75ish was the max for rookies, making another Melo or LeBron impossible.

i got one of those before. his name was rodrick wolf i think. the rockets picked him but i traded for him the season after. he played like a 7'0 t-mac/kobe

Strange... I have drafted Rodrick Wolf in my Hornets Franchise too. And guess what, he's a 7'0 SF! I wonder if the game has some precreated players in it. How did Wolf do in your franchise? Was he a decent three-point shooter and had high block but low jump rating? And around 90 in dunking? I really like the guy. I love to play with him against the celtics. I'm totally punishing Ricky Davis in each game...

They do, very much so. Certain things (ratings) change a bit but they often use the same player sets.

hmmm...he was actually drafted by houston. i traded for him in his sophomore year. didn't check his 3 point shooting and jump rating but he was definitely a great dunker. I think it switched him to PF and put TD to C at some point in my dynasty. I don't have it with me now though. I got bored with it after a while and deleted it

oh man, i love that dude. i have him too with my charlotte franchise. my lineup is
PG-Knight
SG-J-Rich
SF-Rodrick Wolf(Y)
PF-Alex Nelson (i had the first pick in the draft where Wolf was taken so i took this guy. then i traded G. Wallace for wolf. Stupid knicks..)
C-Okafor
and yeah i have also noticed how many short guys or incredibly tall guys there are. like the projected first pick in the wolf and nelsondraft was a 6'7" PF. im glad i passed up on him. and wolf is like a 70 3point shooter, 74 dunker, really really quick and fast. i just dribble down to the paint for a 2 footer everytime. unstoppable

LMFAO. When I scouting players on my dynasty, there was a Roderick Wolf. He was a 7'0" BLack SF. He couldnt really do much, but he was 7 ft. Maybe we all have the same update from this site
