Dallas is way over the cap, but how did they sign Dampier's 9+ million contract? And how long was that contract? i heard it was only 1 year?

but at least dampier is an above the average player... but what about alan henderson, shawn brakdley, booth and eschemeyer who doesnt worth the shit that nowitski craps... but dallas has so many incredible players that they can have josh howard and marquis daniels on the bench...

If I recall correctly, Dampier went to Dallas in a sign-and-trade deal.

ok yes as andrew said, dallas did a sing-and-trade deal:

"Traded by the Warriors to the Dallas Mavericks along with Evan Eschmeyer, Dan Dickau, and the draft rights to Steve Logan in exchange for Eduardo Najera and Christian Laettner, the draft rights to guards Luis Flores and Mladen Sekularac, two future first round draft picks and cash considerations on 8/24/04."
