HOUSTON ROCKETS PREPARE FOR NEW AGE
ABOVE: Kobe Bryant (8) and Tracy Mcgrady (1) move to different teams as they undergo new futures
Kobe Bryant is in Houston. Tracy Mcgrady is in Los Angeles. Steve Francis moved to Orlando. Three of the NBA's biggest stars switched teams last Summer and as the NBA season draws nearer, the players ar eonly just getting to know their new teams.
After many years of turmoil in LA which peaked last year with an impeding rape trial and being a cancer to the Lakers' failed championship hopes last year, Kobe Bryant has finally moved away from Hollywood and all of its dramas.
"This is a change that Shaquille (O'neal) and I have caused," Bryant said, "I don't like him and I intend never to speak to him again!"
Shaquille O'neal, the 7'1" center of the Los Angeles Lakers had always wanted Kobe Bryant shipped away from Los Angeles and finally his wish has come. "This is the best thing that has happened to me!" O'neal stated, "No more hogs here!"
Tracy Mcgrady who was growing more uneasy with Orlando's situation bailed out too, to join Shaquille in Los Angeles. Originally rumoured to have been traded to Houston, the Lakers front office snapped him up immediately by sending Kobe Bryant over.
"I was lucky, me and Shaq are real tight. Can't wait to play this year!"
Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato were then traded to Orlando in exchange for Bryant. Francis and Cat who were blamed for Yao Ming's limited touches of the ball were happy with the move.
"This is good," Steve said, "Houston seemed to really hate us!"
As a NBA analyst said, "This is best for all the parties involved. At the end of the day, everyone is happy!"
