Nice start to the dynasty. Your doing pretty well playing on XBOX, but I'm hoping you can add a little feel to the game by putting some things that happened during the game since you can't put pics. Just a suggestion

Mon May 02, 2005 11:22 am

I see... well.. I'm gonna hafta NBA Live 2005 on PC but I'll try to add a lil "feel" to the game by asking others to go on PC and print screen a player for me. And is that what u do to get those pics?

Mon May 02, 2005 11:28 am

try to trade

hoffa
mo pete
rose

Mon May 02, 2005 11:45 am

Yeah.. But Hoffa's really good in the game! He can block!!!!

Mon May 02, 2005 9:15 pm

Should I try to get Rasheed?

Mon May 02, 2005 9:21 pm

nice sig....this dynasty is worth checking out solely for the "Snap, Crackle, Pape" :D

don't mind my ignorance, but who is Hoffa?!? :?

Mon May 02, 2005 9:32 pm

Hoffa is Rafael Araujo. We pronounce his name Haf-ael so we call him Hoffa.

Well, I would appreciate it if other people would come for a main reason and that's for my dynasty.

Mon May 02, 2005 9:37 pm

oh, you misinterpreted me....I didn't mean that that was the only thing this dynasty was good for....just noticed the sig and commented on it....

as for your dynasty, IMHO don't go after 'Sheed....keep Rose and Mo Pete (Y)

Toronto gets awesome dunker

Raptors GM Rob Babcock has his first trade: Dermarr Johnson in exchange for Rafael Araujo. Johnson (from the Hawks), will come to T-Dot to impress the crowd with his dunks and show everyone that he's a fierce player. On the other hand, rookie Rafael Araujo will be playing with the Hawks. He averages 6 PPG, 6 RPG, 1.5 APG and 2.4 BPG.

"I think Dermarr will benefit our team with the absence of Hoffa. Dermarr is a young kid with great talent and we hope to see it with the team." said Rob Babcock.

"I'm very pleased to play along side with Bosh and Alston and the rest of the crew. A great team this year and we hope to make our record better." said Dermarr Johnson to the media.

Kinda bad trade in realistically, since Toronto would usually hold on to Araujo because of the lack of big men on the roster, but hey, whatever works for you.

I must also let the world know that

I FRIGGIN LOVE DERMARR JOHNSON! :headbang:

Use him well man, if it wasn't for the huge amount of small fowards and shooting guards on my team, I woulda done that trade myself..........

Tue May 03, 2005 7:57 am

Lol. Thx. I tried to get Tayshaun Prince and Antonio McDyess for 1st Round Pick, Lamond Murray and Morris Peterson. I don't think it'll work but I gave it a shot and I can't do the Marshall and Lamond trade czu Marshall is still injured

Tue May 03, 2005 8:12 am

now trade away eric williams for a GOOD power forward or centre.

Hoffa Article: 5 Games and bye-bye to you!

”In the 2004 NBA Draft, The Toronto Raptors select Centre Rafael Araujo.” said David Stern on draft night.

Rafael Araujo started off great the first five games of the season. Played with a lot of confidence, blocked a lot of shots, rebounded the ball and wasn’t afraid of dunking it home. His last game was against the Utah Jazz where he scored 6 Pts, 6 Rebs and 2 Asts.

Image
Araujo (right) is trying to post up on Ben Wallace, one of the best defenders in the league.

After the game, the press had asked him if he knew he was getting traded. He responded:
“Yes, I do know about this but I’ll be all right with Rob’s decisions. As long as I play basketball and put food on the table for my family, I’m happy.” Rob Babcock told the press this morning the following: “We have traded Rafael Araujo, our first round draft pick, to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Dermarr Johnson. I think this trade will help us not only offensively but defensively.”

What the hell was did he just say? “I think this trade will help us not only offensively but defensively.” Defensively? Are you kidding me? Dermarr Johnson is a great dunker but he can’t do crap on defense. He needs to improve on that. Maybe this trade really isn’t what Toronto needs. But we’ll see.

Dermarr Johnson is only good offensively and his dunks are just wicked. On the other hand, the trade could be good for Toronto where as Toronto needed a dunker like VC. And here he is.

Image
Dermarr Johnson was traded from the Nuggets to the Hawks at the beginning of the season.

Dermarr Johnson didn’t really play a lot in Atlanta to show his talent so Rob Babcock gave him a shot to prove he’s great. Sam Mitchell respects the guy a lot actually. “Dermarr is wow! He’s amazing. His skill may be the skill we need to get that NBA Championship.”

I guess this will work out for the Raps but we’ll hafta to wait and see.

Good try on the article, it's pretty good actually and easy to read. I would have written a little more background info about the two, but other than that, you've gotten a good start with the articles man. Good job. (Y)

Cool addition to add the pics too (And I thought you were on X-BOX, I wonder who gave you those pics? :P)

The trade itself is kind of strange though, Dermarr for Araujo? But hey, an extra swingman won't hurt and I'm pretty much a biased Johnson fan, so I can't really complain about that.

Tue May 03, 2005 11:50 am

Lol. Big special thanks to Asdf for the pics! :) :D

Tue May 03, 2005 12:16 pm

Yeah its good that u have Johnson, he is better than Araujo

PS I messed up on my Dynasty again...now every player has purple shoes :)
