best dbf editor

i tried a search to see if there were any other threads on this but i couldnt find anyway. but anyway, do you guys prefer DBF Commander or Microsoft Excel? I used DBF Commander in NBA Live 2004 and i didnt know how to use it that well because saving the changes was confusing.

Anyways, what do you prefer?

Yea, I use DB Commander also. I think it's the best .dbf program I've used.
I wouldn't recomend using Excel since people claim that it corrupts your files, although I've never experienced that.

DB Commander for me as well. Haven't had any problems with it yet, except for the times when I've made an error with a value. It's very easy to save the file incorrectly when using Excel.

db commander is free only for 30 days, right? mine tells me i have 9 days left...so i'm assuming i have to pay after 9 days...unless it's just a nag and not truly locked down after 30 days.

is there a good freeware dbf editor?

hm...my db commander pro just expired. i can still view files but can't edit. i'm using 6.1. :?:

but i found dbf plus, which is freeware. it allows direct editing, which is nice, but doesn't have an "insert SQL" option, which sucks.

CDBF isn't the same as DB Commander. DB Commander remains functional after 30 days.

db commander has bee functional for me for such a long time now. i dont know why it hasnt expired at all? :lol:

anyways if you have a backround in programming db commander is a cake walk (Y)
