I think Smiths starting Job is pretty much guarenteed unless he messes up real bad in the camp.

The 49ers have a lot of holes in the roster and only a limited amount of money, so they are gonna get players to fill the other spots before they go for a QB since they already drafted one with their 1st pick.

Yeah,I think that Smith will start too.Although,Rattay was pretty good last season,even he had bad recievers.Barllow is good,Johnson too,just to fill reciever spots.Solid defense and we should have over 50% this season.

The odds are that Smith starts, alright, but there's achnce he won't be the starter in th efirst games. Had it not been for Big Ben's last year miraculous rookie season, I believe Smith would be benched and groomed for next year. That's what usually happens with rookie QBs. the only one I can remember that started his new team's first game is Peyton Manning way back. Eli Manning took over mid-season and didn't do anything worthwile, and even Big Ben was named starter after one game, since the regular starter (forgetting his name...I think it's Maddox) got injured and there wasn't much choice. In adddition, Phillip Rivers was no 3 last year and lost the job to a roamer like Drew Brees, who had an amazing season last year.

Tim rattay may not be a franchise QB, but at least he's a known commodity. He has the chance to win the QB battle for next year and start a few games, at the least...

Anyone know what number Braylon Edwards will be? I want a jersey of him, but he said he wasn't going to wear 1 this year and Kellen Winslow wears 80, which was what Braylon wore his first 3 years.

I think he is weariing 13 I saw him on the ESPN sportscenter commercial, but I missed the report so I dont know for sure.

^Thanks. Kellen Winslow might be out for the year, which would mean the Browns' record drops to 1 win, but would mean more catches for Braylon and a better chance at the ROY!

Speaking of which, there must be a curse hovering around the Brownies' first round picks. Everyone thay have picked since their reforming is either a bust or a headcase... Let's hope Braylon proves to be an exception...
