I heard he's pretty old (78-ish?) ,which kinda bugs me as there were way younger 'candidates' to choose from.

Hes going to be one of the most conservative popes ever. He says people who follow Marxism, Liberalism, Atheism, or people who are agnostic or think there are no absolute truths are a threat to the faith and a threat to humanity.

No freedom of speech within the curch? The pastors aren't allowed to interpret the bible the way they think it is?

Filip: No, you have to be 65 (or older) to be pope. No younger than that.

1) He was in his young days a part of the Hitler Youth (some Nazi movement).
2) His father was a Nazi and antisemite police officer.

He is a critic of homosexuality, gay marriage and abortion and has spoken about the unique role of the Catholic Church in salvation and has called all other Christian churches and ecclesial communities deficient.

4) He was the prefect of the "Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith", the ex holy office of the INQUISITION.
5) He is VERY fuckin conservative.

And I'm sure there are a lot more negative point about him.
