Update the Current Rosters in NBA Live 05 Please!

Tue Apr 12, 2005 2:57 pm

I play the Wizards and its all off! Brendan Haywood is starting, but he should be injured. Jarvis Hayes is also starting and he's injured. And most of all, Larry Hughes should not be on injured reserved. He should be starting. Thats the current starting lineup. When is EA Sports Server NBA Live going to update this?

Tue Apr 12, 2005 3:41 pm

cant u just do it yourself?

Tue Apr 12, 2005 3:42 pm

chill out, it's not like you are missing a player or anything. it's not a major problem. you could just moved them to the injured list yourself. The roster update was released on the 6th, and Hughes only came back a few games ago from the IL. You can't expect them to update the roster for every change that happens in the NBA.

Chill Out????!!!!

How do you feel when your favorite team isn't adjusted accordingly and up to date? Again, this is my first time using the online portion of NBA Live. So exxxxxussssseeeeee me!!!! LOL!!!
Thats some good knowledge and info. How did you know the roster was released on the 6th from the Server? Do they do it often? And in response to your last statement, why change the roster if its more than 50% incorrect???? HUH??? I guess I'm speaking from a more of a Wizard fan/NBA fan perspective than you. Now, if you are a fan, look out for me in NBA Live 05 online and lets see how you play? Not a challenge, just an invite...:-)
My NBA Live 05 name: IN THE MUG.

..... the roster that was released on the 6th already has Hughes in the starting line up and Haywood and Hayes on the IL..... forgive me for my math, but 3 players wrong out of 12 players is less 50%, isn't it? maybe i'm wrong..... ????
maybe you should try to update the roster, rating and everything yourself, and you'll see how much work it is.

i stand by my do-it-yourself policy, i count on EA for one thing, making the game, after that i do the rest myself, i got my rosters perfect and i sure as heck didnt have to bug ea about it, i did it myself, i didnt bitch, i didnt whine, i didnt complain, i sat down, i fixed it as things changed and i played. this is my opinion, and i am a fan - so from a fans perspective, do it yourself

Okay Mr. Know it all,
First of all, if it sounds like I'm bitching your wrong. Secondly, Mr. Do it your self, I'm trying to get some advice from EA or someone kind enough to tell me how to keep my rosters the way I want it to be. My problem is that whenever I want to play someone after fixing my rosters, it says that I have to update my rosters again which changes what I previously made. I know you don't sound like the type to assist but thats what I'm trying to get help on.

I always change it when I'm offline so I can put Hughes in. But when I go online to challenge or play someone it says I can't play anyone unless I go thru the update again, which loses Hughes and puts him back on injured reserve. In fact, he's not even on the list of players. I really do appreciate your response and your assistance. I'm sorry to have made this an ordeal to everyone.

If EA were to make an update, do you have any idea how much time it would take to go over all the ins and outs of the rosters? No, you don't. And neither do I. What I do know is that it would take a tremendous amount of time, something that EA may not have. Do they really need to cater to every <team's name> fan?

"First of all, if it sounds like I'm bitching your wrong"

What a statement. I applaud your stupidity by saying that. When you post your first topic saying "EA is messed up!" and then follow it up with "exxxxxxxcuussee mee LOL!!!!", no one is going to take you seriously. And along with that, you only mentioned one team. At least back up your opinion with more than one team. In fact, don't bother even posting this, because no one cares and nothing is going to be resolved with the type of posts that you have shown.

What?

Wed Apr 13, 2005 12:32 pm

If you know anything about the Wizards, you'll know that Hughes has been playing for awhile now. In fact for a long time. I'm not asking EA to update every time as quickly as possible....And where did I say EA is messed up!?..And I was responding to the previous statement made to me. Did I call anyone stupid? I never used that word. Yet, you just called me stupid. So, if anyone's bitchin its you. If you read my last statement or my first I wrote it in a very sincere way and asking a simple question, just like alot of users here. I don't need your comments to me like that either. If you want to comment on me or someone else, carefully read and think about what they said before you strike back at them.

Telvis45: Can you stop being so confrontational. People are sharing their opinion on what you originally requested, so don't go nuts at them. Personally if your only issue is that they have 3 players starting when they shouldn't be, then I'd say your best option would be to just fix it yourself.

confrontational?

Wed Apr 13, 2005 1:28 pm

If my original feedback was a kind answer maybe I wouldn't have been so as you mentioned "confrontational". I'm not being confrontational if I didn't have so many people attacking me from just asking a general question from the very beginning. And your the second person to say "just fix it yourself"...Exactly what do you mean by that? I was trying to get someone to help me with that. Whats with all this attitude???

well the only one around here with an attitude prob is you IMO...when a guy tells you to "why don't you fix it up yourself" it is a double edge sword....for one they want you to do it since they are pretty much sure you are capable of doint it yourself.second they think that answer is the most appropreiate thing to say at the moment since the task involved can really be done without supervision..since we are all talking in text here we can never assume any emotions whatsoever....there's alot of misunderstanding happening afterwards.........my advice take heed and try to do it your self. ok?
peace

You weren't attacked, the first two responses were fine. You had no reason to go all weird and schoolgirl-like at them, the "attacks" have come after that because of the way you were responding. What I mean by "just fix it yourself" is go into Reorder Rosters, and put the players where you want them. It'll take you 30 seconds.

Forget it.

I guess I was wrong about this forum column. I thought that there were people here to help with certain questions or suggestions. I'm sorry to hear from people like you too. I have never said to anyone or called anyone names. Now, you're telling me I have an attitude problem? What the hell did I do to have everyone attack me from asking a question? This will be the last time I say this. I'm completely NEW at this online gaming and I simply asked a very general question. We are all men here I think. With all these attacks on me, I'm thinking that most of you should stop taking those PMS pills.

now we are talking in circles :shake:

the original answer to your question was: and i quote
cant u just do it yourself?

no matter how much i read that line i can never see an attitude problem there:

next is this and i quote
chill out, it's not like you are missing a player or anything. it's not a major problem.

again that is a friendly response, but what did you do?
you do this and i quote
Okay Mr. Know it all,
First of all, if it sounds like I'm bitching your wrong

i mean geez man.....confrontal behaviours is what get poeple beaten up these days....if i knew you a long time ago we could end up in bad terms.......but since i'm a change man i would just like to correct you by saying: and i quote:
since we are all talking in text here we can never assume any emotions whatsoever....there's alot of misunderstanding happening afterwards.........my advice take heed and try to do it your self. ok?
peace

then what did you do? you answer with this
and i quote

there seems to be no need for that actually....so now its clear to all of us who participated in this thread that it is you that have an incy winiie bit of an attitude problem:

if you're new here why not go and read some rules first:
Do not post only to attack another member/incite a flame

This will be considered disturbing the peace, as there is nothing constructive about publically attacking a fellow forum member or attempting to start a flame war. These topics will be locked and warnings will be issued. Frequent troublemakers will be dealt with more severely.

Do not use the forum to post hate speech

We do not want to promote any kind of hate speech or hate propaganda. Again, you are entitled to your own beliefs, but please show common decency when posting in the forums.

Do not post only negative/derogatory comments

While feedback is welcomed and may certainly have a negative opinion about certain topics, we ask that you make an effort to contribute to the forum. Criticism is welcome, but please do not just post "I hate this forum" or "All of the topics are boring". Suggest what we can do to make this forum better or start a discussion on a topic that interests you. Negative feedback is useful, but flames and insults are not. In order to fix something, we need to know what is wrong and why you are unhappy.
