Which television shows do you watch?

Postby Jackal on Fri Apr 08, 2005 7:19 am

As the title reads: Which television shows do you watch?

I'm an avid fan of CSI, CSI Miami & recently CSI New York although it's not as gripping. Perhaps it's because it's only in it's beginning phases. (Keep in mind, I live in the Netherlands, the shows air a tad later than in the States.)

So if I can, I watch CSI NY on Sunday, CSI LV on Monday & CSI Miami on Tuesday. I also watch Law & Order SVU on Sunday and Law & Order Criminal Intent. I don't dig the older Law & Order's on Hallmark, probably because I dislike Hallmark for showing pansy fairy shit 99% of the time.

Another show I watch is The Shield. It doesn't air on TV but the DVD collections are sold in Media Markt. I've got the whole first season & I've seen season two. Waiting for season two to hit the stores so I can buy it too. Oh, I've got all the CSI LV seasons collected.

If I know I won't be able to watch some of the shows because I won't be home, I tape em. :D

The best series according to me? The Shield followed by CSI LV and then L&O: CI.

What do you guys watch? Besides South Park & The Simpson's. :P

The only show I actually plan to watch each week is The Contender. If im not watching sports I usually just watch movies. Nothing on tv really interests me.

Scrubs - Holy crap this show is sooo funny. Especially when JD is narrating things.
The Office - New, this week was great. I haven't seen the origianl BBC one so it might not be that good. Michael is just so stupid
Chapelle's Show - It's obvious: it's hilarious
Daily Show - I don't watch actual news, just this.
The OC - I'm addicted. And I watch it every group with like 5-7 other guys.
Phoenix Suns/big or important NBA games - obvious

I watch if it happens to be on: Seinfeld (it's syndicated, I don't plan), other NBA games, Corner Gas

I haven't watched much TV before until I was able to get my own tv with a satellite PVR, so I'm in love with Comedy Central. I watch:

The Daily Show
The Simpsons
South Park
Chappelle's Show
The Assistant

I'm kinda curious about watching a few reality shows that people have been telling me about, specifically The Apprentice and The Surreal Life

The Wire (Had to get the episodes by not watching TV... as it doesn't appear in australia but its the best series I've seen ever)
Simpsons: new episodes
NBA Action and whatever NBA ESPN has on
Chapelle Show - Best comedy show on TV
Lost
The Family Guy

And these shows I'll watch if I'm flicking through, but would never plan to watch them:

Seinfeld (caus there are sooooo many repeats, have seen every episode at least 5 times)
Becker
Frasier (my mum watches it, I used to hate it but I can tolerate it now)

Mine are:
Simpsons
Futurama
Late Night with Conan O'Brien
Who's Line is it Anyway
Seinfeld
NBA games
Discovery Channel (Call me a geek, I don't friggin' care :x)
Naruto

GO NINJA BOY DREX! :D
Scrubs

Quite popular with the medical students.
The Office

IMO the BBC version is better. The boss is a total jerk there.
The OC

That show has gay overtones! One of the lead actors admitted it because he usually wonders about the "hidden plot" of the script.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

YEAH! Respect for old skool April Fool! (Y)
Dragonball GT
Dragonball Z

I could just tell you every episode April Fool. I used to watch that always when I was a kid.
Desperate Housewives

Nice show with it's female..umm.."eyecandy"

Aside from NBA programming, my favourites include The Simpsons, Friends, The Drew Carey Show, Whose Line is it Anyway?, Married...with Children, Futurama, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Tonight Show with Jay Leno, South Park and Red Dwarf. I also watch Family Guy, King of the Hill, Frasier, Seinfeld, Chappelle's Show and That 70s Show, though not all on the same day and not all of them religiously. And since I got Foxtel, I'll check out the History/Discovery/Biography channels from time to time if there's something interesting on.

Edit: Added Red Dwarf. Can't believe I missed that one.

Married...with Children

I miss watching that show, same with The Fresh Prince.
I also left out South Park on my list.

I used to watch Friends but I got bored with it and I realized that sooner or later the future episodes will have them "screwing" each other. Guess I was right.
