v1.10 released...

Postby Andrew on Thu Apr 07, 2005 4:30 pm

Andrew wrote:The wait is over: version 1.10 of the current roster update for NBA Live 2005 is now available to download here.

Key features of v1.10:
- 2004/2005 Rosters updated through April 6th, 2005
- Player ratings updated
- Depth charts updated
- Coaches updated
- New teamgear.dbf update by Mikki added
- Missing jersey "portraits" by Mikki added
- Opening Night Rosters Coaches Fixed
- Team plays updated

As always, please base your feedback on the most recent version. I once again apologise for the delay on v1.10, I don't anticipate such a large gap between now and the next update.

Update: I just realised that I forgot to mention that the team plays have been updated in teams.dbf, and to credit weed manus for the information. I'll be sure to correct that in the credits in the readme for v1.11.

There's nothing to fix as far as I can tell. I've loaded up the rosters and Matt Carroll is there in the rosters, complete with his cyberface.

Andrew are you also going to release the text rosters along with this patch?

ok, but why is ID (playerd.DBF) is changed? before 1578 now 1192, so in the appearance.dbf there is the old ID (1578)
The game changed it?

No I did change it so that he'd have career stats. It doesn't seem to make a difference when I'm testing it, but I'll update it for v1.11 just in case. In the meantime, you could try changing 1578 to 1192 in appearance.dbf to co-ordinate it with players.dbf.

I'll be sure to make the change for v1.10, but I don't seem to be having the same problem when testing out the roster. But I'll correct it anyway, thanks for the feedback. (Y)

Sort of, but you'll lose season data if you do that. So I wouldn't recommend it. ;)

Yes I just realised I forgot to change some of the other IDs for those guys who were missing career stats but had entries in career.dbf.

Could I make a case for Adrian Griffin to be slightly better? I think he's a 43, and he could be at least a 49? I know...I worry about such important players...but he's the man.

Maybe his stamina could be raised from 30, jumping could be raised? Shooting is fine since he can't really shoot, but defense/offense awareness? He never makes major mistakes so he seems to have a good idea of what he's supposed to do.

If not, no biggie.

I thought he was higher than a 43, if not he could probably stand to be better in a few areas. I'll take a look.

Could you post a list of the plays for each team please? I don't which play corresponds to which # in the teams.dbf file.

The list is over in the sticky thread in General Issues. I've chosen the random set for each play (numbers up in the 900s from plays.dbf).
