if you want a lottery team, you don't need any help picking a team, just pick a team and lose. that's all there is too it. It's not that hard to lose. And it works the other way too, you can pick any team and win a titile, on superstart mode. The fun part of the game is not being the best team, it's watching the players and the teams develope, at least that's what i think.

..... but if you had to pick a team.... pick the bobcats, they have a lot of money, and they are terrible.

Bobcats is a terrible idea... the X is doing such a fantastic dynasty with them already... good lottery team are Hawks and Bucks. I have a Hawks dynasty (not online) but if you start with the current roster (without Walker) and don't unrealisticly go nuts with the free agents (considering that no big names would really want to sign with Atlanta right now) then it can be a lot of fun. Realisticly, they can be built in 3-4 seasons.

Bucks are fun too if you don't trade Joe Smith and Mason for a superstar also. That way you will struggle just like they do in real life... until you get fed up and finally trade Joe Smith... hahaha...

no ones done them, they ain't that great, but they got some good young guys like Kirk Synder....I seriously considered choosing them for my dynasty instead of Bobcats but went with 'Cats at the last minute....go for it

thanks for all the reply....

X, i wil not do a bobcats dynasty...

actually i considering
Hawks - always a lottery team
Hornets - no superstar and struggling team but i dont want to join the J.R Smith bandwagon
Toronto - a post vinsanity era

i will not do bobcats and warriors since they already 2 great dynasty out there.

I find Hawks a tad boring....but now that 'Toine is out the door, it's definitely worth considering, and those Hawks throwbacks jerseys are great....just make sure no one else wears #21....

Toronto without Carter would be interesting....

I say go with one of those 2....

I agree. The Jazz in the post Mailman/Stockton era is an intriguing pick...

Something for consideration, though... You've been playing with the Lakers so you get 3 - 4 games against each Western Conference team per year, while only 2 with each Eastern Team. So you might consider picking an Eastern Conference struggling team...

Let's see them all one by one:

ATLANTA - B-o-r-i-n-g. I just can't get in any groove playing the Hawks. I started a dynasty with them prior to my GS one, and couldn't find myself playing the second game of the season... Maybe it's just me.

BOSTON - No Lakers fan in the right mind should consider using the Celts. It would be treason to your beliefs, and do not tell me otherwise...

CHICAGO - They were once one of the greatest of all times, you can't top that... Plus it's toomuch of an obvious choice, since everybody is a Bulls fan even a little bit...

CLEVELAND - Too obvious, LBJ fans pick them all the time. You don't want to seem like a LBJ bandwagoner like every 14 year old, do you?

NEW JERSEY - They've already been to the Finlas twice, and now they have to rebuild to get back there. With Kidd, Carter and R-Jeff at backcourt, you'll probably be trading some spare parts for an adequate/good big man and end up dominating as early as the first season.

TORONTO - Post Carter era, rebuilding the Raptors, blah-blah, how many times have you heard that story already?

NEW YORK - There are two dynasties running already, and I wouldn't want to be Isaea , not even on a video game...

WASHINGTON - Nice pick, but there's already a good Wiz dynasty by Heiks....

CHARLOTTE - Now that's obvious as hell. Expansion team, no goals for the first few seasons, almost every contract expiring at 2005, plus X is 'The Guy' in Charlotte in this forum...

Down to the last two, and my personal preferences:

2. MILWAUKEE - Always under the radar, Redd is fun to play with, Mason is exciting, and with the post-deadline lineup they expect to be crap. If I didn't hate those old uniforms they still use.

And finally, my personal choice:

1. ORLANDO MAGIC: Let's see.

- Worst team in the league last year

- Steve Francis trying to establish himself back as the 'Franchise' of 2 years back.

- Super-duper rookie Dwight Howard vying to be the next Amare.

- Superb court design for the TD Waterhouse Center

- Nice jerseys

- Night life in Florida, plus Disneyland!!!

My real, honest selection though would be for you to stick with the Lakers for as long as you can... (Y)

The thing about a post-vince carter era in Toronto is that no realisticly done dynasty has been done in this forum. There are a few but none that I personaly would label 'realistic'

But I still say go with Hawks if, like the X, you can have fun while losing games. Go Bob Petit!

After Lakers, how about a Clippers dynasty? :D Just kidding.

Hawks! They are really bad, but still have some talent in the two Joshes, Smith and Childress. Most certainly a lottery team.

Edit: Ooops, didn't see you'd already chosen the hawks...good choice btw :D

rather than starting a new thread, I'll just use this one....I'm thinking of starting a 2nd dynasty, 29 game season one with Utah Jazz....different format to Bobcats one and probably not as many updates, just when I want to....maybe 12min quarters and no simming so I can attack that birdie board top 10....who knows, maybe, maybe not....

any thoughts....

You already know I'm all for it...

I believe Micchy has started a trend among us... Now everybody who respects himself should hve a backpocket dynasty...

Plus, I think the Jazz are a great choice (Y)

I can't choose between the lottery-teams in the west (same situation as Micchy, did a long dynasty with Orlando. So a team for the other conf. would appeal to me).

Any excellent ideas?

Perrenial underachievers are the Clippers and Warriors. Getting into the playoffs with either of them would be a major achievement...
