pink heads after making portraits

Sun Mar 27, 2005 9:31 am

if anyone else is having this problem, hopefully we can get it answered.

i went through kevins portrait tut...and the portraits come up great!. i made one for a couple created stars and their portrait comes up, but they have pink heads during game play. if i choose "true" under the "iscreated" category, their heads return to normal, but the portraits are gone! i dont know what to do. please dont get mad if this is a recurring question because i searched all over for this answer...any direct tutorial someone could whip up in 5 mins? (out of the kindness in their hearts)?

thanks a lot if you can help me. really...thanks

Kevin. wrote:Everyone who read this tutorial, note that this is the last time I will say this, so if you ask that same question and don't get a response, you'll know why.

This tutorial is only for making :frontend playerportraits," not cyberfaces. If you do ont have a cyberface installed, the head will be pink. Simply install an existing cyberface, download one that someone has made, or make one yourself. I would suggest that you do not use a portrait without a cyberface, because it may cause your game to crash at an unexpected time, or it will just make your game look odd.

Basically wat he's saying is, you cant have a portrait without a cyberface.

yeah...i pretty much found that out. actually,

i patched over a already made player (jason kapono) with my own facepatch and replaced his picture and name with my name and pic and all that. it all works great, but the downside is that the announcers call you jason kapono everytime you make a good shot or what not...still, nice to see me in the game. it makes it that much more fun!
