good start L.A lakers trade tips/ getting kobe to bobcats

Fri Mar 04, 2005 1:57 pm

at the start if the dynasty i want to try to pull of a 3 way trade, i just got the game so i really need help with caps and stuff. anyway here is an idea.

i want to get carlos boozer and i know i can do that with divac, george, butler. but after i did that trade i started to do worse because my bench was less effective.

so in conclusion i was wondering what i should do after i attain boozer. should i use him in another trade transaction? should i sign some free agents? should i even trade for boozer? any suggestions would be good.

Bobcats.

i was thinking of starting a dynasty with bobcats but i really feel the need to have kobe in th team. anyone know who i can trade with to get kobe???

thanks for the help guys.

I would first suggest downloading the newest roster release in these forums and start from there, if yoy haven't already.

 , you should also try answering his actual question...

dont do the bobcats dynasty with bryant (N)

maybe get boozer to improve your starter then get decent player by signing free agent...

or instead of trading for boozer trade the 3 players in other team, you might get better deal.

Its pretty hard to get kobe for the bobcats.. you might have to sign a free agent and use him as bait to get kobe, but even then that might be hard. good luck with it (Y)

Your best bet might be to wait until the end of the first season and sign whatever good FA's are available then use them along with picks or whatever to try and get him.

... if that's what Matthew meant, then yes. I agree.

If you really want Kobe do what Jae said. Otherwise, I advise you to draft an awesome SG similar to Kobe and build around that guy casue it'd be more exciting!

If Live 2005 trade system is like 2004, then just use the "ladder theory". Sign the best free agent available, and trade him along another player for a player with a better overall ralting. Then re-sign another great player again, and trade him the player you got for another better player... Do it until you finally grab someone with an overall rating approaching Kobe's one...

yes, it's not realistic at all, but is Kobe to Bobcats something realistic? I mean, Danny Ainge is not the Lakers GM, at last for the moment :P

 if Danny Ainge made that trade, he'd do Kobe for Jason Hart then get Kobe back after Charlotte are forced to release him while still keeping Jason Hart.

As far as the "ladder theory" goes, I'm not sure if it would work in Live 05... especially with the PDA system it'd take a while to get all of your replies, might be worth a go though.

Yes the ladder system will take a long while plus this year you need the make the salary match or +/- 20% which only make it more difficult.

With the Bobcats I usually wait till the end of the first year and then I sign some good free agents and hope I get a good draft pick (maybe a really tall center).

I have Kobe, McGrady and Jermaine O´neal :D. To get kobe trade any two your man for guy with better ratings and keep doing it until you will have a two really good guys then trade them for Kobe.

If you're trying for really massive trades, sign free agents Mailman and Zo. Reclassify Mailman as Center, he'll go to 71.

Send 1 of these centers + a strong point guard (and you may need 1 more person) to Utah for AK. Utah has some cap space and has extra spaces in their roster, and despeartely need every position except PF since Boozer is there.

You've now got AK, who's 84ish and costs $1 million. He'll help you solve salary cap problems when trading multiple stars for Kobe (which you'll have to do, unless you somehow get Shaq or McGrady or somebody similar).

Of course, i'd keep AK over Kobe but that's me.
