NBA Live 2005 French Version, Please Help !!!!

Thu Mar 10, 2005 9:14 pm

Hi, I'm new to the forum and like to solve out a major problem.

I recently bought NBA live 2005 French Version for PS2 with Tony Parker on the main cover. The whole game is in French - Menu, Speeches etc. I don't understand anything since its all in French !!!
I'd like to convert the game into English, would appreciate it if anyone could help me out.
Thanks alot !!! :)

I don't think you can change it since it's for PS2...

Thu Mar 10, 2005 10:55 pm

Why did you buy a French version in the first place if you can't understand francais? :x

LegoTP, Thanks for the help, I thought NBA Live 2005 French version can be changed into English but it can't I think. In the Options Menu there is no language selection so the whole game is in French :( Maybe there is someother way the game can be changed into English.
Mikki, I bought the game not knowing the game was going to be all in French. In many of the games for PS2 there is an option to change the language into English. I'm sure there is a cheat or a way to change the language from French to English.
Would appreciate it if there is a solution to change NBA Live 2005 French version into English.
Thanks alot !!! :)

Hmm... I'm not sure that the English version would have Parker on the cover !

Fri Mar 11, 2005 4:23 am

It seems pretty stupid that you would buy the french version thinking you could change the language rather than just getting the english game...

Fri Mar 11, 2005 8:54 am

NBA Live 2005 French version has got TP on the cover and Carmelo Anthony on the cover for the English version, LegoTp you are correct, Parker would never be on NBA Live 2005 English version.
Fender, I did not know there were 2 versions of NBA Live 2005, English and French. Most often PS2 games have got the language selection option in order to change the language from English to French to Spanish etc.
It sucks that EA Sports has come out with 2 different versions for NBA Live 2005. It would be great if there was one version and that be English but can change in other different languages.
If there are any ways to change the language from the French to English for the French version of NBA Live 2005 please help out !!!
Got a problem with the French language :(
Thanks alot !!! :)

IndyPacers, its true there is no way to change the language :( Sucks !!! EA Sports is going down !!!!
The whole game is in French except for the Slam Dunk Contest, 3 Point Shootout and Dunk Tutorials. All the other parts are in French !!! :(

Coolmac, I've been trying to play the game without the speeches, got a headache listening to French !!! :( Its kind of nice at times when the French commentator shouts something like '' Dunk Monstreux " which I think means a monster dunk, when the player does the two handed dunk and '' La Moulin A Vent '' which would mean the windmill dunk. Appart from that I got no idea what he is saying for the other dunks and other stuff on the players. Got a tough time playing NBA Live 2005 in French !!!!
Phlo, there is no way to change NBA Live 2005 French version for PS2 into English If there are any ways to change the language and the contents in the menu, please help !!!!
Thanks alot !!!! :)
