anyway, what i was suggesting about experience points is that there should be a limit such that when the limit is already met,for example, 1000 career games or something like that, then it should no longer affect the way he understands the game since he is already considered a veteran.that way, since gary payton is at age 39,the only things that should affect his ratings are those regarding his physical state.but a rookie whose work ethics are great and plays many minutes will have to improve a lot.a rookie whose work ethics are great but do not get much playing time should not improve as much as the first one.
training is very random, and you can always load the saved game if you dont want the results.but i agree that training sessions really do not predict exact results though.
But remember that there are always guys that won't improve that much no matter how hard you drill him... I think that the potential effects this too. So a guy with a brighter future is more likely to gain through training than some.
I played a Cavs dynasty for like 4 seasons or something. Probably did like 12 or so training sessions... Ofcourse LeBron rarely got any increases as he's so good already, but Dajuan Wagner, a player who is young and athletic, got next to no increases during all that time. So there's probably something that controls this too.
And the training could go as follows: You have two players with three point shooting at 70. The first guy gets an increase and the other guy does not... It could be that your training only give 0.4 points of a rating to a guy of that level and the first guy had 70.7 and the second had 70.2 for the rating... So adding the 0.4 rating to both would cause the first one to go up to 71 and the other one not to... It could be like this... I don't exactly know how it goes, but I think there's more to this training thing than meets the eye...
It's kind of odd that the dunking skills cannot be increased through training. Why is that? I would think that it would be easier to train a guy to dunk than speed or quickness...
