when your shot is adjusted either by u or by making contact with the opposing players cause u to adjust your shot in mid-air, "adjusted shot %" determine how successful that shot will be

I think it determines how often a shot will go in even if you don't release it at the peak of your jump.

Yes, that is correct. Lob was referring to "adjusted shot percentage".
