Clippers vs. Supersonics

Your Local Newspaper wrote:
The home opener resulted in a loss for your LA Clippers. The game was in favor towards the Clippers throughout most of the game until an eye opening closeout from the Supersonics. In the last minute of the 4th Quarter the Sonics pulled it up to a double digit lead.

"We could not pull it together" said Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers. Elton Brand also said, "I was excited to play with Haarsma for the first game of his career because he's got a certain presence when he is on the floor".

With 1 game under his belt Haarsma said, "I feel relieved because it's a lot of work out there compared to the game I am used to. I will be running a lot more in practice and start to work on my shot off the dribble".

Enough about the Clippers, Ray Allen scored 27 points in the game tonight. He scored 17 of his 29 points in the 4th Quarter. "Everything was dropping from everywhere. It was like it was meant to be."

The Sonics win the game 103-93, read the box score below.

Maybe. I am not sure who/when I am going to trade. Once I get a few games into the season and I see who needs to be traded then I will look into it. For now I will see what happens because I am only 1 game into a season but if I were to look into him, who would you suggest trading in the future?

The Puzzle Not Being Put Together
This years theme for the LA Clippers was "Puttin The Puzzle Together", but there is nothing being put together except back to back losses. First loss to the Supersonics and now the the Trailblazers.

Your LA Clippers opened up the 4th Quarter with a small lead but only to battle back and forth for the lead. At one point the Clippers were down by 8 points until Haarsma hit a 3 pointer and Chris Kaman had a monstrous dunk. Portland definately showed a great team effort and clutch play at the end to pull this one off!

"We just have not been playing like I know we can. We play great everyday at practice but once we get to the game there is always 1 person who does not play their hardest they possibly can" said Mike Dunleavy Sr. talking about Elton Brand's not so good performance. On the other hand, rookie James Haarsma was standing out shooting 50% from the field with 33 points on the night. Also adding 9 rebounds. After Haarsma it was Brand with 19 points.

"My stats looked better than my game tonight. I started off great but once it was the 4th Quarter I was having trouble finishing my inside shots" said Elton Brand who only scored 2 points in the final quarter.

"We just need to convert our easy and open shots to points in a game like this. I don't care about how I play, it's about how we play as team, and tonight we did not play very well in the end of the game when we needed it the most" said Haarsma.

With their record being 0-2 they need to rethink about what they got to do and maybe start to try harder.

The Blazers had 5 players score in double digits and they player who stood out was Damon Stoudamire
with 20 points and shooting 33% from the field and dishing out 5 assists.

"This is the win we needed. We need to start out with a good season and end with an even better one" said Damon.

Next game is @ Warriors - Be sure to tune in!
