Boxscores] Surprise of the Night:
Francisco Elson .:. Top Performer:
Kobe Bryant
The Nuggets started the game in a lethal tempo, and won the first quarter 27-16. 3-point-specialist
Voshon Lenard had a amazing 1st quarter scoring 3/3 3-pointers, and showed some amazing defensive moves.
Carmelo Anthony started the game scoring 2/2 3-pointers, and ended the 1st quarter with 10 points.
In the 2nd quarter superstar
Kobe Bryant began to shine, and the Nuggets defense was struggling. Bryant didnt miss a shot in the entire 2nd and scored 4 out of 4 penalty shots. Bryant was the catalyst for the Lakers, but they lost the quarter 23 to 20.
Francisco Elson was subsituted for
Markus Camby in the middle of the 2nd quarter, and was impressive. He grabbed 7 offensive rebounds in the game, 11 overall. In the 2nd he scored 4 out of 6 field goals attempts.

The 3rd quarter was a blowout by the Lakers, and
Kobe Bryant contuniued to score. After a break for PF
Lamar Odom, he decided to be a part of the show and scored 10 points in the 3rd, while he grabbed 5 rebounds.
Little 5'5 point guard
Earl Boykins played some minutes in the 3rd, but didnt really glow. The 1st pick at the point guard position,
Andre Miller, was having a good game. He didnt score one point, but double-doubled with 10 assists and 10 steals. Not a typical double-double.
The 4th quarter wasnt very well played either, but the Nuggets managed to hold the lead at 5 points, and continued the hot perimeter shooting. Especially
Voshon Lenard who scored 7 out of 8 3-point attempts in the game.
Kenyon Martin &
Marcus Camby was both quite anonymous after the impressing 2nd quarter by
Francisco Elson, and both had a average night. Camby scored 10 points, while Martin scored 4 out of 16 attempts (FG). He made 13 points in the game.
Point Guard Andre Miller made a double-double with 10 assists and 10 steals
