Pilipinos no.6 world's happiest nation

Pilipinos are the happiest among Asians, and one among the happiest people in the world despite the many problems they have to face everyday.
This conclusion is based on the study conducted among 50 countries worldwide by the World Values Survey, a report from the office of the press secretary said yesterday.
In the survey, Pilipinos placed number six among the top ten Happiest nations who indicate they are “very happy about their lifestyles”
Venezuelans came out the happiest with a rating of 55% followed by Nigeria, 45%, Ireland,42% Iceland 42% Netherlands 40% Philippines 40% Australia 39% USA 39% Turkey 39% and Switzerland 38%.

In contrast the saddest nations are Bulgaria 7% Armenians 6% Romanians 6% Russians 6% Ukrainians 6% Belarusian’s 5% Moldova 4 % Lithuanians 4% Estonians 4% Slovaks 4% and lastly Latvians 3%

suprising that almost all the saddest people on earth are europe based. the only asian country that are happy wow.thats something i should tell the drunkards in the other street about. post your views negative or postive about each of ypur country

I know now in sunny Queensland I'm much happier than when I was in Christchurch, New Zealand....

a diff study shows that the happiest nations are in order:

1. Netherlands
2. Ireland
3. Canada
4. Switzerland
5. Norway
6. US
7. NZ
8. Finland
9. Sweden
10. Singapore

The least happy are Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Tanzania.

This study though compares happinness and income. Incidentally Kiwis have the same level of happiness as US despite making roughly $17,000 annually where as Americans make $33,000.

The Dutch are the most nice people in the world.
Among near-by countries like the Czech Rep. and Belgium, the Dutch RULE.

I find it some how stupid, how Nigeria can be second in happiness. Ireland are always going off and bashing the british. Australia is only happy because the Americans tell us they are happy too.
