v1.08 suggestions

Postby Ruff Ryder on Sun Feb 20, 2005 11:10 am

Tony Allen's dunk rating to 90. I think you have it on 60 or near that. Also his dunk package should be 12.

Josh Smith's dunk package either 10 or 12.

Can you update all of the players on the rookie team and soph teams ratings? All you really need to do is copy and paste, then change the roster pos. and team.

Also can you change the starting lineups for the Rookie and sophmore teams.

That's all I can think of right now...

Noted. I did mean to update the ratings for the Rookies and Sophomores, but I was a little pressed for time on Thursday. I'll certainly update them in v1.08, as well as the lineups. I'll have to add Al Jefferson, he was added to the team after the release so I narrowly missed that one.

got a couple of riders to tack on..

rodney buford's FT rating is 44.. the guy has a career average of .756 from the line and is shooting .829 this season.. shaq's FT rating is 49 ffs and he's shooting .461.. this guy can stroke it.. as a net's fan he's been my fave player coming off the bench this season.. I'd like to see his FG rating (65) just a touch closer to 70 and his 3pt (56) just a touch closer to 60.. could you also raise Krstic's FT a little (50).. he's shooting .699.. once again if shaq is 49 and .461.. i know shaq has had way more attempts.. but let's face it he has a serous problem

If you don't mind,I think that you could make all those created players fields[PLAYERPKG,FACEPATCH,...] fieled up.That would be cool.

I'd have to distribute face files with the rosters though, else there would be errors.

Scoreaera would be the field I'd like to see changes. Maybe I didn't understand that well but plenty of mis-match

Correct me if I'm wrong.

The SCOREAREA values are pretty strange these days, but I can take a look at them.

In 1.07, why is Ginobili called Number 20 in Western All-Stars ? Didn't take a look at the dbf files but if you could change it it'd be great. (Y)

I've done everything I can to link to the audio files. NBA Live 2005 is a little funny with DBF editing this year though.

Well, here's the changes I made base on the following rules (urs and Timothy's tutorial)

2) guard w/ mid range G
4) G/F slasher
5) G/F shooter
6) G penatrator
7) all-round
9) C/F banger
10) big man w/ 3s

http://wttfcweb01.netvigator.com/filecabc/servlet/share?f=ericay%2Fplayers.dbf

let see if anything could be improved

(PS probably u can ignore the All star as I've made my own teams)

Can you lower Antoine Walkers rating, so he puts up less MVP type numbers?

I was just looking at some of the created players, they just have generic white bald head cyberfaces? you ought to make a realistic face for them. then if someone makes a cyberface we can patch it later, but they shouldn't automatically come out looking absurd...

He's always been a good player, I don't see why he deserves to be below 80 overall. He's played well all year and his ratings seem pretty accurate, IMO.

imo, it's better to lower Yao's rating then... josh smith can't have 99 on blocks, that's ridiculous.

Shouldn't happen, I have made faces for all of the created players.

No. I've raised his rating again this update, but I am not raising it to 99. Sorry.

He gets about 20 and 8.5 irl a game, but in Live he gets 25 and 10.

or jus read here:

Dunk Package (DUNKPACK)

A player's Dunk Package (DUNKPACK) controls the types of dunks he can perform, with the values ranging from 1-17.

1: Layups from close range
2: A wider variety of layups including layups from further out
3: Layups only, suitable for less athletic players
4: Mostly layups with a one handed dunk (performed rarely)
5: Mostly layups but with basic one and two handed dunks (performed more often in the open court)
6: Mostly one handed dunks with some two handed slams
7: A few show dunks (performed rarely)
8: An assortment of one and two handed dunks, suitable for most players of average height and athletic ability
9: Dunks for more athletic players; includes gliding dunks
10: Some spectacular dunks including some more powerful dunks; good for athletic forwards
11: Some spectacular dunks including some more powerful dunks; good for athletic guards
12: Plenty of spectacular dunks; includes powerful, gliding and 360 dunks
13: Various big man dunks
14: More athletic big man dunks
15: Shaquille O'Neal Suite: Powerful one and two handed dunks
16: Air Jordan/Doctor J dunks - all dunks, including free throw line
17: Shawn Bradley/Yao Ming - dunks ideal for players over 7'2"

You can't change this from within the game. You need to open the DBF files with DB Commander to change this value.
