The Balducci Levitation is an illusion that can be performed almost anywhere, anythime. It uses no wires, strings, rigs, camera tricks, etc.

oh this the one that david blaine used right?
where you just tiptoe with one of your foot. and you have to do it at a certain angle and distance from the audience for it to work...

Exactly what David Blaine uses.
To perform it right, you need to be in GREAT physical condition, it's pretty hard to lift your whole body with the front part of your feet! Esp. for a "long" period of time...

even David Blaine only goes up for like 5 seconds.....unless ure a total weakling u should be able to lift yourself up on one foot for 5 seconds easily......

I got it right on my first try

My girlfriend thought it was cool but she burst out laughing when I made it too obvious: "ok, stand right here, and I'll stand right over there." Then I kept checking my angle, etc, but I got it at the right position and it did look like I was levitating, although since I made it too obvious, she figured out how I did it too

do it to the kids. GF's are always in the "know" what we do. the kids are easilly tricked. like taking candies from the babies.
i even have this alibi if the kid sneak down into my shoe i might fall off and break my ankle(they bought it). they all have tons of laughter and i end up thinking why in the hell did i fool those kids.
i even did the arm twisting thing with the jacket on? anyone ever heard of it?
Wed Feb 16, 2005 2:42 pm
No. Care to explain?
Wed Feb 16, 2005 3:20 pm
ok
wear a long jacket that covers your entire arm. put both your palms face down to the floor while your on your bended knees but in your right arm(left if you are lefty) twist it already to the inside clockwise and see to it that it looks as if it is in the same look as your left arm(right if you are a lefty). actually they would like mirror themselves.
then act like your about to labor or give birth to a cow then slowly twist your (already twisted arm) and rotate it counter clockwise to its original position. man that whole act will be like you just twisted your whole arm right out of its socket. just be sure to use a very long sleeved jacket and a stuff one. lobgsleeves shirt will surely give away the illusion.
its all in the acting and faking. kids have this stare of pain at me after i do this trick at my GF's house.(lots of kids there at weekends to play) chicks dig the magic thing too.

I never managed to get down to London in time. He was on the news alot at the time, there where some stories about people teasing him with big macs and drunk guys throwing golf balls at him. He freaked because somebody starting shining a laser pen at his little fish tank, as if anyone is gonna want to really assassinate him. To be honest I hope we never see the twat again, TV over here is bad enough without him polluting it.
The stunt in which he stood on the raised platform was impressive, only due to the possibility that he might fall on his head and die.

Blaine emerged on schedule on October 19, murmuring "I love you all". He was quickly hospitalized. He was fed on liquid food until his body was deemed ready for solids again.
Some people questioned whether Blaine had starved himself, or had been receiving liquid food from the tube supposedly only for water. This was covered, for instance, on the tabloid American television program, "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" on cable channel MSNBC (October 20, 2003). The report claimed that Blaine's people have said he lost 30 pounds, then 60 pounds, and then 40 pounds. The program did not note that these figures were estimates given when Blaine was in the box, where he could not be weighed. The broadcast then displayed a shirtless photo of Blaine on September 19 and a shirtless photo of Blaine on October 19, the last day of the stunt. Blaine's weight appeared identical in both photos. In other photos Blaine looks dramatically thinner and more gaunt coming out the box than going in.
That's it I guess...

He had lost alot of weight, the thing about that was, he looked like he had gained about 30lbs when he went in, I suppose he had to prepare.
