San Antonio Spurs (0-0) against the Sacramento Kings (1-0), a clash, who will win this game ?

SAN ANTONIO Nov 03 (TICKER) -- The 1st official match of the San Antonio Spurs this year, since Spurs-Lakers games in Play-Offs.

What will happen during this big game ? We will know in few hours. The Spurs changed a bit their Starting 5, as Turkoglu left San Antonio, El Manu took his SG place. An excellent shooter joined them, Brent Barry. He came from Seattle. The Spurs will be able to rely on Duncan to score points and grab rebounds. Parker is probably better in shoots... Rasho Nesterovic will be against Brad Miller, tough opponent... Bruce Bowen is one of the best defender in the entire league, it'll be interesting to see what he will do against Predrag Stojakovic.

We will now talk about the Sacramento Kings. They acquired Greg Ostertag, an experienced center. He left the Jazz after many years, he played with John Stockton and Karl Malone. But Vlade Divac, left the team, he went to the L.A. Lakers. Brad Miller is still here, so it'll be alright for them. Chris Webber, because an injury, he couldn't play many matches last year, he is probably back with a powerful power, Tim Duncan is a very tough opponent but C-Webb is a really good shooter, so, wait and see... Peja Stojakovic lost the Foot Locker 3 point Shootour last year against Voshon Lenard. But his qualities are still excellent, will he be able to pass Bowen's defense ? Doug Christie will be against Manu Ginobili, Olympics winner with Argentina. Manu's experience grew a lot since these games, so it'll be tough to play against him. Mike Bibby is against Tony Parker, a battle against some of the best PG in the NBA...

ESPN's team got a Tim Duncan interview, let's listen to what he think about this game :
"Well, the Kings are better this year, I watched their games against the Rockets in Beijing on a video, and I think the game will be very tight, I don't know if we'll score more than 85 pts, but we are also NBA's best defense... I hope I'll win my "battle" against C-Webb."

We also got a Tony Parker interview, what does he think about this game ? :
"It'll be hard, very hard, we don't know if we'll win yet, but it's very necessary to win the 1st game of the season, we must get confidence, and then we'll get better and better, each game will be beneficial for the team. The Teamwork is very important in Basket-ball."

Interview of Tony Parker in French (made by George Eddy from Canal+) :
Allez Ciao !"

Tonight's key matchup :

Mike Bibby vs Tony Parker

It won't be Chris Webber vs Tim Duncan but Mike Bibby vs Tony Parker. Their skills are a bit the same, Bibby is a bit more experienced than TP, but Parker's shoot grew like he said in George Eddy's interview !

Will Mike Bibby's experience allow him to beat Tony Parker's team ?

Probable starters :

Sacramento Kings :
C - Brad Miller
PF - Chris Webber
SF - Peja Stojakovic
SG - Doug Christie
PG - Mike Bibby

San Antonio Spurs :
c - Rasho Nesterovic
PF - Tim Duncan
SF - Bruce Bowen
SG - Manu Ginobili
PG - Tony Parker

PS : Sorry for the French interview, I just wanted to put it, I don't know if I'll be able to translate it !! :P

I've got some good and bad news :
The bad :
- I've got a maths test tomorrow so I won't be able to start the dynasty today like I said.

The good :
- I'm in holidays friday so I will start the dynasty monday, I'm 98 % sure that I will play Sacramento - San Antonio, so please, wait for monday. :)

(I can't play Live the weekend because my bro' is always on the computer the weekend because he's back from school from Friday to Sunday night.)

Besides, a match will last about a hour and I don't think he'll let me play a hour, even though I've also got a PS2... But, anyway, I'm sure that I will make this game monday ! :) Yeah, I'll do my best and try to beat them, I want to test Parker...

Game Interviews and Highlights with NBA TV and NBA Action

Image

Interviews :

Tony Parker : I didn't play very well in the 1st half, so I had to score points in the 2nd half. That's what I did. Tim (Duncan) gave his help, his big help with his rebounds, Rasho (Nesterovic) with his blocks (4 blocks), Manu (Ginobili) with his steals, well, everybody participated to our victory ! Even "Pop" ! (laugh) Next time, it'll be against the Lakers. We must take our revenge since the Play-Offs. Since Shaq, Gary (Payton) and Karl (Malone) left, Kobe is alone, but Lakers recruited Rudy T, who is an excellent coach. Kobe is probably better than last year, he hasn't any problems anymore now. Plus, they acquired Lamar Odom, Vlade Divac, some Heat players, and they are good. So I don't know if we'll win but if I play like I did today we'll win for sure. I'm a bit disappointed that Tim got the "Player of the Game" award because I could have it, but we won, and it's the most important.

Tim Duncan : I think I did a good match in both 1st half and 2nd half, but Tony (Parker) took over the relief in the 2nd half with his points, sometimes he feed me when Songaila was there, so it's was easier than against Webber, he was much better than me in the 4th quarter, I just scored some baskets. Rasho also did a superb job on blocking our opponents. Manu stole the ball 6 times if I remember so it was awesome, fine play. Now, we must focus on our next match, against the LA Lakers, they're tough to beat... But we'll do our best. If we win, it'll be 2-0, otherwise, it'll be 1-1.

Mike Bibby : I'm very disappointed, we were leading during 3 quarters, and just because of one player, Tony Parker, we lost. I admit it, I underestimated him a bit, he grew a lot in few years. He is going to be better than me so I must train, train and train so I'll grow too. He was really awesome, I still don't know what to say about him. But he frequently loses the ball, and that's his weak point. 8 times if I remember, and for me, only 3. San Antonio was better, that's all, we must train now, Brad Miller and Chris Webber did 5 fouls, that was a huge handicap for us... Peja (Stojakovic)'s shoot wasn't very efficient today. Hope he'll be better next time !

George : Salut Tony, comment ça va ? T'as bien récupéré depuis le match ?
Tony : Salut George, ah oui ça va super bien !
Tony : Ahh oui, bah tu sais George, tu m'as mis au défi, tu te souviens ?
George : Oui c'est exact ! Et t'as gagné !
Tony : Et ouais ! J'ai pas marqué 30 pts, mais 32 !!
George : Oui bon d'accord...
(rires)
George : Houlàlà tu me fais peur !!
Tony :... (rires) Haha ok... Allez Ciao !

Rumor in San Antonio

According to TNT, Bruce Bowen trains alone in San Antonio, after the daily training, because of his poor performance yesterday against Sacramento. With his 2 points, 1/8 in Field Goals, he probably wanted to train in shoots... Hopefully he'll be better against the Lakers tomorrow. We received some pics :

1
2

He also asked Tony Parker if he could play a One-on-One against him to judge if he is better than before. Here are some pics :

Bowen lays it up
Bowen shoots a 3 pointer
Parker lays it up
Parker for an acrobatic shot
And the winner is...
Game Stats

Interviews :

Bruce Bowen : Yeah, that's right, I asked him if he could play a One-on-One against me, and he did it, he's very nice, I think I'm better than before Sacrament-San Antonio...

Tony Parker : He is much better, he did a good 2/3 in 3 pointers. Too bad because he's very strong, his defense was great, hope he'll do the same against Kobe Bryant.
