IDEA

Postby -[TD]- on Sun Feb 13, 2005 10:08 pm

I thought about doing this for NHL 2004, when Dynasty Mode came out, but it never matrialised.

I am thinking about Scenarios for Dynasty Mode. For example: The Houston Rockets are currently 2-15, and Yoa Ming has been traded due to a trade request. Your role is to become the new General Manager, and take the Rockets to the Playoffs.

Something like that, so what do you think guys?

I think that would be a pretty cool idea. But I think I'd rather have (and I'm not first to say this, but I'll say it again) a Madden-type dynasty where you can edit ticket prices/players get mad etc.

Sounds like a cool idea...I've got my own scenarios to keep me entertained with Dynasty Mode right now, but I like the concept. (Y)

Well I actually mean't that I would make some scenarios, and then people could play them, and then we can see who does the best. Its not hard to import the files.

Absolutely. I was just saying that I'm fairly into my Dynasty right now and don't get to play too many other games of Live between work and other things, but I'd be interested to check them out - I'm sure a lot of other people would be interested to. If you've got the time and the enthusiasm, I say go for it. (Y)

Well I will make one today, just to show everyone what it is, etc. Hope you all like it.

It would appear that the winds are a bit strong down under than in uk... (Look at flags on the sigs) :D

Certainly this kind of game when correctly implemented could work as a shortened dynasty mode... Like at the start of the dynasty you get a goal. Win a championship or make the third round of the play-offs, make the play-offs etc. And once you reach that goal you will be evaluated on your success, like at the end of the original dynasty. Ofcourse there could be a choice to continue the dynasty into a normal length one...

And with a certain time limit if was to be added that would really add some pressure... Like you start with New Orleans and the owner tells you to "get this team in to the second round of the play-offs in three years or else..."

This was actually in NHL 2005, there is a goal set at the start of the season in dynasty mode. I'd like to see Madden stuff too... With the Madden stuff you could add goals like "make this team financially profitable in 5 years" etc.

This is one good wish among others... If implemented correctly that is.
