Raimi All But Confirms Venom for Spider-man3...

February 03, 2005 - Sam Raimi is hard at work on the script for Spider-Man 3 with the help of his brother Ted. The last time I spoke with Raimi, at the press day for The Grudge, he said that, at his current stage in the writing process, he wanted to let Peter Parker's journey determine who the villain would be. Just this week, Raimi has been quoted in interviews across the Web as saying that he has figured out who the villain would be, but couldn't reveal it just yet.

After reading the rumors, I figured who better to ask than the man himself? Earlier today, at the press day for the film Boogeyman, a production of Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert's Ghost House Pictures, both men were on hand to promote the film and, as might be expected, try their best to deflect the impending barrage of Spider-Man 3 villain questions.

because they make money, duh, because every 9-14 year old kids want to go there and have to take their parents with them... the best kind of movies if you want to make profit

yeah...i was waiting for this!!! i was hoping for venom or carnage since i heard that they were gonna do sequels for the first movie. they would hope they do the special effects really well.

The Ghost Rider movie is going to kick ass, I love those comics... although I said the same thing about Spawn and we all saw what happened there.

Spawn 2. It has a different name, and went straight to video if I remember correctly.

If THAT isn't going to be better than Spawn, then I don't know...
The Rider's an anti-hero just like Spawn, so maybe the movies are similar.
