I Do Not Understand

My game works! I have had trouble with it in recent months and have not had success up until now. I reinstalled the graphics card (NVIDIA 5500 OC) by taking it out of the tower and reinstalling it. I installed the software and tried to play the game. I tried playing it in a 800x600 (I think that is the resolution) -it worked. I tried playing it on the highest-I think it is 1280x768-and it worked fine untill after about 1 full game and then crashed. I turned all the detail settings to the lowest and it still crashed... so i went to the desktop and tried something-i set my desktop resolution to the highest (1280x1024) and the game hasnt crashed yet! I am going to try turning the settings to the max and see if it plays.

I wonder what the problem was.

 Moved to 2005 Technical Issues.

Post your computers' specs, including the video card and it will be easier to find the problem. (y)
