Mugging experiences!!

Thu Feb 03, 2005 2:55 am

Yesterday a friend of mine was robbed, and I wanted to know if anyone else has a story about it.
He was seated in the back of the bus (public transportation) with his little 13 year old brother (and he's 17), when a guy came from behind and told him "Get out now" very quietly. They all got down and he told them not to look back and to lay on the grass cause he had a gun.
The mugger took his REAL expensive watch, his cell phone and his wallet. He wasn't scared but dared not to look, but his brother was on the verge of a panic attack.
I'm just glad they are alright. (Y)
I've never been robbed, luckily. :?

Even if they did rob me, they'd get nothing. I might be willing to let them steal a kiss but nothing more than that. I'm broke as fuck anyways.

Our house was mugged once, I was like 6 orso. I remember my sister flipping out, put her head in a pillow and was wailing away to glory. I figured it looked fun and decided to imitate this unique behaviour I hadn't witnessed previously. She proceeded to slap me so hard I actually had a reason to cry. Fond memmories eh?

One thing that is quite funny was that when we came home, the door was open and all...all the drawers were taken out and everything excepting one. When my mom opened it the cat jumped out, they had stuffed him in with a bunch of clothes. The cat jumped out right onto my mom's head.

Never had a cat since then. Not that I liked the damn thing anyways. Dogs pwn.

we had some dude on our balcony a couple of nites ago, lol, he was so fuckin scared when i turned on the light, i guess he thought nobody was there so when i appeared all he did was jump and run  what a 'gangstah' lol

My gf was mugged. Some Rasta on a mountain bike tried to take her mobile phone while she was still talking on it . She wouldn't give it up so he punched her in the face...*Asshole*.

I have been burglarized twice in my adult life(so far), both times by people I knew and I did nothing about it. The 1st guy who robbed me was suffering from terrible drug addiction, I forgave him, I lent him money shortly after. 2nd guy was a person I considered my best friend. We had a scrap 1 night after a long drinking session, I got the better of him, he decided to steal my phone, coat, shoes & bag full of sweaty clothes...*Asshole*

We just bought a German shepard pup, so nobodies burgling me and leaving with both testicles.

I was mugged in the city once...funny thing about it was (WHAT?! theres a funny thing - i hear you say) I had left a party and almost everyone there had said for me not to walk into the city cos i might get mugged...i told them not to be stupid and went...then i got jumped by 6 or 7 guys i didnt really have time to count how many...i got hit in the back of the head by a guy behind me, i turned and hit him in the face out of reaction then got the SHIT kicked out of me...finally one of the guys gets on top of me when im on the ground and pulled a knife on me...all for $10.

needless to say i was fairly frightened of going into the city for a while, so i ended up failing the computer programming course i was enrolled in cos campus was in the city and i didnt want to go.

that shit was fucked up...

Ugh.. sorry to hear that man. So now that you're not going to the city anymore, are you working somewhere?

Thu Feb 03, 2005 5:10 am

well...it took me a while to get used to going back into the city...i just know not to go alone at night.
but for a while i was pretty stressed about it, i had to go to a counsellor for a while to help me out.
im not really as active as i once was though...i used to go out pretty much every night to watch bands and stuff, but not really anymore...just hang on the NLSC! hehe :)

Thu Feb 03, 2005 5:29 am

thegreatdivide, really sad to hear that. Dont forget that the faggots who jumped you are nothing but cowards who would shit themselves and bolt a mile at the 1st sign of real trouble.

Get yourself into a boxing gym and work it out. Boxing will give you the discipline you need to get your confidence back 100%. Forget the sports martial arts, that'll do more bad than good. Boxing is the simplest way to increase your overall confidence, especially after an incident like that. Your instinctive nature will change after you've spent a few hours sparing, it will teach you to do more than throw a punch, I really think you should give it a shot. Im speaking from experience.

Damn that was in Perth ?

I' m always in the city late at night in Melbourne, and nothing bad has happened to me (apart from homeless people and junkies asking me for $$$, in which I tell them to fuck off).

Although once when I was like 12 years old, I got off the bus and was waiting for the next bus I had to catch. I was sitting down on the bench, and this guy had a knife and was just like scraping it against fence. Then after a couple minutes I figure this guy is a bit of a weirdo so I get up to move to the other bus stop (about 200 metres away).
And he says to me where do you think your going ? Then he pulls his knife towards me and says give me your wallet (bear in mind that I was 11 or 12 years old and I didn't even carry 2 dollars on me let alone a wallet!) So my first instict was to run, and that was what I did. I could hear the passer bys yelling "Run Forrest Run" well that um didn't happen...

I ran to the end of the street and this guy was following me, so there was a school on my right about 100 metres away and that was what I ran to. Damn I was lucky there was people inside there, caus it was quite late about 5:30 usually schools are closed by then.

Anyway, thats my story. Noiw I'm 16, and for safety I carry a switchblade with me wherever I go. So if I ever see that faggot again, BAMN!!!

i always thought:
robbed= something stolen. no bodily harm
mugged= you get robbed and get your ass kicked

ah well...

my friends and i ended up mugging these guys for hitting my car (while racing or speeding) in the parking lot of a bowling alley. it must have been fate because the moment the one of the guys glanced the side of my car, my friends and i were just leaving the bowling alley. luckily only the passenger sde mirror was broken and the guys who hit my car stopped to check on my car.

i didn't want to deal with the insurance BS and too liquored up to deal with the police to file a police report so we just ended up kicking these guys asses and taking their money. as far as i'm concerned, we were doing the community a service. these were spoiled suburban brats that deserved a lesson, as evidenced by the cars they were driving (mustang), the designer clothes they were wearing, and cash in their wallets. either that or they were drug dealers.

go figure i get jumped in a club next month

Mugged, robbed, teethed, ripped, snatched, grabbed etc
=
Burgled, stolen, steeling, mugging, robbing, etc.

Whatever man, it matters not...
However you choose to express the way you feel about your shit getting jacked, but however you choose to express makes no fuckin difference because you're still stuck without your belongings

someone stole my cel phone, my hair pick , a picture of my family.. and 2 condoms from my bookbag . Its funny that people steal things that they won't even use.

Thu Feb 03, 2005 10:24 am

The cell phone I can understand. By hair pick do you mean an afro pick? Condoms? This was one stupid robber.

I have not been mugged, nor has anyone in my family. In the boring neighborhood I live in, getting robbed would be the most exciting part of the year for anyone here.

Yeah afro pick , same shyt. Anyways my neighborhood used to be calm till all them 'gangsters' started moving in . Now its hard to walk around in the street without havin the risk of gettin jumped because that makes 'gangsters' feel cool.

Thu Feb 03, 2005 10:34 am

You have an afro? Sweet
I want one when I get older, right now it would look too wierd because I am 4'9"

There aren't any gangsters in Commack, just wiggers. That's the worst we have. Wiggers.

Thu Feb 03, 2005 9:06 pm

i've had a few experiences but they weren't very successful on the thieves' point of view.

back in high school, there was people who would walk behind students in the sidewalks during lunch time. it was crowded so people wouldn't notice. most of the students had backpacks so what these people would do is try to open the little pockets in your bag without you knowing and they would try to get whatever they can and if they were lucky they find a wallet (some girls place 'em there)

i been a victim a few times but they never really get anything there except a few pieces of paper (i was a dirty motherfucker :P) one time there was even a compass there (the one for geometry and other math stuff). and i kinda sense if someone was touching my bag so i'd always catch them in the act.

one time though i had to go to army training and i had to put my wallet in my bag because i had a lot of stuff in my pants pocket and for some reason that was the day that i would get mugged. the thing is the thief attempted to steal it twice. the first one was a failed attempt and the second time he was successful but he was stupid enough to stand in the sidewalk like nothing had happened. for some reason i walked up to him and just demanded for my wallet. he tried to talk his way out of it and acted all innocent but in the end he gave it back. i don't even remember if my wallet had any money. good thing nothing bad really happen. i might've gotten the crap beat out of me. i was a skinny kid (still am). i think i was an inch taller though.

another time (still in high school), i had to walk to school early in the morning for ROTC and the streets were kinda deserted at that time. when i got to the point where my school was only a corner away. this old man around his 30's or 40's came up to me and tried to mug me or something. he was kinda fucked up in the head. he's got a schwastika and some other crap tattoed on his forehead. he was walking beside me and had something pointed at me under his jacket. he claimed it was a gun (or a knife, i forgot) and said he was gonna shoot me if i didn't give him some money. I didn't bring a lot of money with me and his "gun" was probably just his fingers pointed at me so i told him that i didn't have money and stuff to the point that he went away after giving him 5 Pesos (Philippine Peso, you do the math) which was kinda worthless. the thing is I was kinda talking to him in a loud voice, like i was mad or something .

phew, that was probably my longest post on NLSC

A few years back I visited Warsawa in Poland with a Russian friend of mine. After we spend the day in the city/centrum, we decided to go home with the metro. With about 2 more stops to go a Russian guy about 25 years old walks over me and said something to me in his language, my friend stood on the other side of me so he didnt hear anything. I called my friend to come over and tell me what the hell this dude is talking to me. Later he explained me he needed money and then he showed a knife and said if we didnt give it to him he would stab us. While we were checking our pockets I told my friend to take as many time as possible, and when the metro stops just get the hell out of there. So we gave him a few coins slowly untill the metro stopped, once the doors opend my friend slapped all the coins out of his hand and we started to run. Fortunatly for us he remained in the metro and didnt follow us.

Russian imigrants that live in Poland are some crazy people.
