Go to button configuration and look for the quick plays buttons. My best defensive play is man to man and offensive flex 4.

P.S
And if you want to change the quick button plays go to settings-playbook.
I hope this was helpful.

Why do you like flex 4 so much? JUst asking.

i use flex. if u do flex, then each time u run flex it will randomly do one of the flex's (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc...) this goes for all plays

flex is good u get plaer movement and after a guy catches, other guys move

i also run it on my highschool bball team

Flex 4 & 5 - the SG cuts off the screen from the PF or C at mid range for the easy drive & the SF cuts off the screen at baseline...

I'll try to be as simple as possible for you joeman603... and don't be afraid to ask questions... some here are basketball buffs who played college b-ball, others are simple fans like me, while others are new to the game. You don't need to feel sorry for it.

Pick-and-roll: I am sure you have seen this many times on TV. There are many variations, but for you, as simple as can be: The guard has the ball, the center or PF moves like a wall, (which blocks the defender who was defending the guard) and the guard "roll" from one side of the wall to the other... with the defender unable to defend since he is block by the C or PF doing a wall... so an easy shot...

Let me be even more simple for you. You are on offense. Your SG has the ball at the 3-pts line. Call a Pick-and-roll, watch the big man on your team make the wall on your right or left side, and go behind him and shoot. The opposing player should still be in front of him and trying to move behind him to block your 3-pts shot.

Simple enough? I am sure you have seen it many times in the NBA games on TV... if not, just watch a game tonight and pay attention for this move.

Hope this helps you.

I've always wanted to use the more complex plays but it seems like the cpu controlled players never play their role.. so i pretty much only use the default (basket cut, iso, post up, and pick and roll)..

You're right. THey execute horribly. It would be nice if they improve the execution. It would also be nice to add a team practice mode.

Hello there people.

Is there somewhere a list of generic offensive plays to be set for CPU when you play against them? Last year there were a lot of them, but now I can't find a good and realistic list.

I know that cpu sometimes performs badly, but I think that different offensive plays create much better games.

Thanks a lot.

I think you're right on that one Sonic. It would be nice if they added a team practice mode where you could run your plays without opposition. Maybe even adding a little coach talk or some onscreen telestrator drawing out the plays might be nice.

Am I asking for too much? :D

Either that or almost like a team scrimmage with the 2nd team just kinda being there so you see what it's like with other people there like they have in Madden. Then again just like in Madden it will execute one way and practice and completely another in a real game. Also ad a training dummy, bot, or teammate to individual practice so you can practice post-moves, freestyle, or shooting over someone.

Speaking of execution has anyone actually seen half-court man-to-man actually work right? I'm surprised full court press is working.

there seems to be no pick and roll in 2005 wat play is it?

The execution of everything is horrible. They don't want you running any plays but full court press and half court trap. They don't want you doing anything that might reduce the chances of the game turning into a transition game.

seems so. All i ever did is one on one plays like low post for YAO kick out and slash by Tmac. der seems to be no working plays in 2005. dats d reason y my guards has low assist.

anyone who can make dis clearer the plays in 2005
