NBA Live 2005 Editor v1.1 released

Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Postby dpagan1974 on Sun Jan 30, 2005 8:00 am

"MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible with this version of Windows. All of its features are currently part of Windows." This occurrs while trying to install Microsoft Data Access Component 2.8.

This simply means that you already have what you need so it doesnt make sense to install it.
As long as you have the Net Framework and the Visual Fox drivers (Thanks to Andrew), everything should be fine.

Thanks. It works now. I know you put a lot of time into creating this program but I am having a hard time understanding how this program will be useful. Most of us don't use the original rosters anymore because it’s so out dated. Assuming that you somehow linked the program to the original roster files, couldn't you just change the link to season or dynasty and load up those rosters? But I don't know anything about this program and I am pretty sure you’re working on that.

Ok. What if you move all of your dbf files into orginal folder and then edit it with this editor then move all those files back into season or dynasty folder. That should work???

Hi All

About the edition of your saved rosters, follow the instructions that someone post in this thread, only copy your saved DBF Files to you NBA Live 2005\dabase\origdb\ folder, modify it with the tool, and later copy it back to your saved folder, this yould work, but be very carefull in the databases that you delete.

Sorry but I don't know much about NBALive so this is why the tool is not perfect, I take note of all your recomendations and soon I will be releasing a upgrade for the Editor.

I want to add a lot of features for future versions so if you can helpme post your recomendations here, I will need some beta testers too, so I will be selecting some beta testers from the best NBA Live editors that want to be my Beta Testers.

Bye

I just contact Diego (the guy who made the program) and I will help with the upgrade the idea is that you can work in your saved game database . The problem is that THE ONLY FOLDER WHO KEEPS ALL THE FILES OF THE DATABASE is the original...thats why Diego made the program pointed at there

Its not that difficult to solution that (I did it for my Shoe Patch) .So i think the Upgrade will be perfect....

In live 2005 the database My Documents/nbalive2005/database.... is not really important (in fact you can delete it) and will be generated again with every time you run the game

Diego and Ariel are great making tools for FIFA series they are no familiar with the LIVE though, thats why you all have some problems

You can, but for now you have to copy the files to the origdb folder within the main NBA Live 2005 folder, then copy them back to the save folder once you've made the changes.

Andrew

Can You copy all the files from the Origdb folder back into your save folder after edited them with this utilty...I mean some files are not in the save folder to start with..Is it ok to copy all the files or just the ones you copied from your save folder.

does it make a difference.

Thanks

It shouldn't cause any problems, but just to be safe, you might want to just copy the appropriate files back to the saves folder. If you really want to play it safe, backup your origdb folder, delete all the files, copy the save files over, make the changes, copy them back to the save folder, then restore origdb.

By default, the .exe file you're looking for should be in C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 2005.
