Jae's Weekly NLSC Stuff (Ep. 2)

Issue 2, I said I'd do it weekly... you all doubted me, serves you right ... actually you didn't doubt me, but I've been watching too much tennis lately and Lleyton's whole underdog thing is getting to me, anywho...

It's been a little bit quiet around here lately. Things have been pretty active as far as posts go, nothing really exciting happening but things are moving along quite well, good work people. We saw some pretty nice threads started, including Gloveguy's top 10 songs thread, Matt's awesome "What do you think.." thread and of course air gordon's epic "preferred reading material when on the crapper?". Mazzocchi turnt General Talk into a better version of the .org off topic/spam sections with his numerous threads about random stuff, with 50 Cent's hand being removed... which would've been a disaster if it was true, because he's a bit of a wanker. 50 Cent that is, not Mazzocchi. Amphatoast reached his 1000 quietly, and air gordon became a General Talk regular... sort of...

TOP 3 POSTERS OF THE WEEK

3: Mazzocchi
Helps the activity of the place with his numerous threads, they always seem to be interesting and get interest from people aswell... it's actually become good to have him around, which is a surprise but he's turnt into a good contributer. Just don't get caught up in "others" spamming ways.

2: Matt
He's probably in the top 5 as far as activeness goes on General Talk, which is a good thing. Probably the only NLSC vet who doesn't cause any form of controversy or anything... well there'd be others but I can't think of them right now. Loses points for being a rap fan, but is still good enough to maintain 2nd place.

1: air gordon
Might seem a bit of an unusual choice, but he's been one of the rare people who can make the transition from NBA Talk to General Talk well. DRESPN tried to do it and we all saw what happened there, but limp's transition has been smooth thus far. Actually made a thread about reading while taking a shit AND made it an interesting thread, has been more active aswell which is nice to see... probably a matter of time before he pisses off back to the NBA Talk section and leaves us all stranded here with no toilet threads, but for now he gets my poster of the week.

There's been alot of threads started this week, I don't think people realize just how many... here's my view on the best of them...

3: Top 10 Songs by Your Favorite Band/Artist by Gloveguy
Another music thread, but an interesting one nonetheless. His reasons for the songs he picked were a nice read aswell, it's good to see someone looks so deeply into what they listen to. Of course no one else really took the effort to do it, but I like the thread and it was a good addition.

2: preferred reading material when on the crapper? by air gordon
Who would've thought this'd end up with 39 replies, all relevant to the topic? It's interesting to say the least, and not surprisingly Riot is one of the most active guys in there... we learn something new every day with this thread, including what is in shampoo and such.

1: When your read a NLSC name what comes into your mind? by Matt
I was thinking about making something similar to this a while ago, but every thread I make turns into a flame so I avoided it. It's kind of interesting to see how people view everyone else on the forums, there's been some pretty funny reactions from people and not all of us have exactly had the best review (Apparentely I annoy ck alot and Dogg thinks I wear glasses ) but it's fun all the same. It hasn't descended into a flame war either, which gets bonus points because it means I don't have to bother doing anything

To be perfectly honest I haven't really been online as much this week to find anything really really good, so if anyone has another suggestion feel free to leave it here... I personally liked this though...

Please, I made that sig the day I came to this forum. Never seen another like it. Ive been doing graphics since 96, I dont need to copy anyone else, thats what imagination is for, to be creative.

Simply put, Im not trying to be mean here, but I made the sig to be different. Then when other people come around and take the idea, its an insult from an artists perspective. If you cant understand that, then your prolly not an artist. Im not gonna argue about this, if you believe he didnt copy my work, then thats your opinion but anyone who sees what he made and has seen my work will know what really happened. You should let him speak for himself anyway, he even compared it to my work in his post.

Made like 7 or so posts with just this: It's a shame, because most people think he's a spammer and I was one of the few who didn't... he's a funny guy though, and can definitely be a good poster but went a bit overboard with it this week. You get the weekly spanner, congratulations.

nah, j/k I guess you didn't get what I meant in that thread, you annoy me when you go on with the same type of jokes/remarks for too long. Also sometimes your goes from good to very bad to good, etc.

Anyway this thread is a nice initiave, but IMO you should make new threads every week, lazy people (like me) don't like to search the topic for you new post.

A suggestion; You could include two or three quotes/posts from the 'Tool of the week'-person. It could offer some good quotes for your sig.
You could also include small links to the old threads in case anyone would wanna read the old ones aswell without searching for all of them.

But I would like to point out that it was I who took "preferred reading material" topic, and brought up the question of overall habits(stander/sitter, x sheets/y sheets). Though it might have ruined some people's meals, I believe that some credit should go, where credit is due...MOI!

But anyways, props to air gordon, as he was the creator, and props to Jae for this topic. Keep it rolling!

your not the only one who wants to be in the power rankings i think this will make people post more but hopefully its tastefull and not
