I was playing my Memphis dynasty and I was up by 1 with under 10 seconds vs. Dallas. Dampier had the ball at the top of the key (three point line) so I took Swift and moved him down to double on Dirk and left Dampier wide open and Dampier held until 4 seconds and made the game winning three        :x :x (N)

I just had a very frustrating overtime loss, which I'll post about in more detail in my Dynasty thread shortly. After almost blowing a late lead against the Sixers, I managed to convert a three point play with 4.7 seconds left for a 95-93 lead. Iverson raced up the court, fired a three from long range, the buzzer sounded before it hit the backboard and my players started walking off the court, but Kenny Thomas tipped it in (way after the buzzer, while everyone else was walking off) and it counted! It didn't even go to the basket review cutscene, Marv just exclaimed that the game was going to OT.

Needless to say, I missed a couple of dunks in OT while AI hit a couple of threes he really shouldn't have, for a 112-107 Sixers victory. I don't mind losing in my season as it makes things more interesting, but the nature of this loss left me a little pissed off, as you might imagine. Anything that happened in OT aside, the game was won in regulation. :x

In real life, I'd hope they'd actually go to the tape replay and review the basket.

Urgh, In my Hawks dynasty (which I'll start posting at some point), I was playing against Philadelphia, and had Iverson shooting 1/18... I was winning by 15, my debut starting SF had 16 points and couldn't miss from down town... then we have a power cut, and I lose the fucking game. Soooo I re-load, start playing the game again... Iverson scores like 14 in the first quarter, my SF misses every shot, Dalembert completely dominates in the middle and after going down by 15 or so I end up losing by a couple of points... after my huge comeback was destroyed by Iverson, once again, hitting every shot he took.

Fuckers.

That story of Begleys seems like the CPU has ripped him off worse than any other scenario that I have read on this forum.. Long distance shots NEVER seem to fall in my dynasty which is what I find weird.. in 40 games not one shot has made it in outside 3 feet of the 3 point line.. There would have been at least 120 attempts but these mid court shots never seem to drop.. Other versions of Live the odd one would go in but FOR me that hasn't been the case yet..

The two things that irritate me slightly is that they will count three pointers when even the back of the shooters foot is inside the 3 point line.. So any deep shot is often a 3. The other thing is that sometimes when a player's foot is on the baseline the ref's don't call it out out of bounds and count the swirling layup basket..

Funnily enough, the game before the Sixers contest (a win against the Cavs) featured a three from beyond mid-court by Drew Gooden to end the third quarter. I made a couple in NBA Live 2004, just taking a wild shot after the buzzer while the rest of the team was leaving the court, but it was easier to hit the odd shot from the backcourt in the older Lives.

with sacramento (fantasy team) i was down around 25 at some point in the second against the spurs. somehow (on the back of reggie millers 20 off the bench and steve nash's 30 points) reduced the lead to 3 with about 7 seconds left. I called a screen and nash threw up a 3. he was fouled by parker and made all 3 free throws. then i defended hard for the remaining 7, and forced Erick Dampier to take the shot which missed. then tim duncan picked up the ball, and shot THROUGH the backboard to win the game after time had run out. damn duncan.

its the ref. its the ref. why cant the games AI not know that the time expired after the winning shot. I have been beaten twice in close games because the buzzer sound and the computer shot a hook shot when we were leaving the court.

by the way i have played 30+ games now and 27 of them are decided by 6 points or less. my record is 19-11 with my superstar being injured thrice and reinjured twice. can u guys advice me with my sliders? seems like my games is just the case of trading basket all the time i can't have a 20+ point lead

wow i jus won this amazing game, definitely the best game ive ever played in live.

im in my phoenix dynasty (C-haywood, PF-amare, SF-marion, SG-kobe, PG-parker, backup PG-damon jones) playing the timberwolves... sprewell is scorching kobe all game and has 29 points. wolves r up 7 wit 3 min left and my suns bring it back wit some steals by kobe and marion. and then it got crazy.

minny up 2 points wit 30 seconds left, i hav possession. kobe dribbles it, drives to the hoop, dishes out to marion on the left corner... and he SWISHES A 3! so phoenix up 1 point... now wit 10 seconds left. then cassell gets the ball, passes to spree, spree drives to the hoop, and gets hit hard by amare and brendan haywood. he does one of those layups which happen after being hit hard... but there was no foul called. i was so happy until i saw the ball trickle through the net!

so now minny is up by 1 point, 2.7 seconds left... i hav NO TIMEOUTS. damon jones was hot all game, at this point he had 15 points off the bench, 6-6 fg, 3-3 3 pt. i put him in and took parker out... and at this point i thought the game was over. i pass to a running damon jones, he sprints up court... and he nails an ON THE RUN, EARLY RELEASE 3, which was a good 5 FEET BEHIND THE ARC! crazy game i cant believe i won im so happy

final score 90-88

Sun Jan 30, 2005 6:21 pm

awesome. damon jones rocks. but talk about stacked

Mon Jan 31, 2005 2:18 am

yea my starters r stacked but these r all trades that i made in offseason, plus my bench sucks except for damon. i lost joe johnson to free agency, so i needed a SG. i sent jacobsen and nash for lakers, who gav me kobe (lucky cause they needed a PG so badly their interest level was at 100%). then i needed a PG soi got TP for Q and some other guys. i basically gained kobe and parker, and lost JJ, Q, and Nash. so its not like i made the team that much better, its jus taht phoenix is so stacked to begin with this year

I'm playing the bobcats in my 3rd season and I just had one of my best individual performances with Okafor. Check out the stats below:

Wed Feb 09, 2005 9:42 pm

Why does the "1" in "61" look so noticeably different to the others?

Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:04 pm

I dont think so.... :D Look again.

Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:09 pm

It does. The overhanging bit on the left side of the "1" is quite a bit bigger than the others...

Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:11 pm

Oh now that i look at it closely it is edited, You can see were the Pixels have been Cloned to make it blend.
