Suggestions needed....

First of all, i hope no one will comment that I'm to big/old to make my one decision...(cough! frank2730 cough!)

Now, with an Arroyo=Campbell trade happen in NBA, do you think i should edit the dbf do the trade in my dynasty?? even though the trade deadline already finished... that would make my dynasty unrealistic...

But I'm thinking maybe i can make it as utah released arroyo and campbell was release by detroit then they sign with the other ballclub..

any suggestions....

I guess you've got one of two options:

- Just play your dynasty though (with your rosters accurate to mid Jan '05) and forget about future transactions....
- Or wait until your off-season and if Arroyo is still with Utah and Campbell is still with Detroit then do the trade....

The reason I say the 2nd one is if you continue to do real-life transaction what happen when say hypothetically, in your dynasty Penny Hardaway signs with Portland, and then in real life Isiah Thomas trades him to Toronto....you can't really trade him from Portland to Toronto, it would throw your dynasty out....

actually now that I think about it, just go with the 1st option....

As X said, do it in the offseason (Y)

As The_X said about Penny, it would seem hard, even impossible, to keep it real if your dynasty schedule goes faster than real life. In my dynasty, Ben Wallace was a FA after season 2, he resigned with Detroit but what if he had signed with say... Charlotte or another team with cap space... do you then edit the file to bring him back to Detroit? What about the 1st overall pick in your offseason becomes a starter on the team which drafted him... not real also since this guy does not exist in the real NBA... its a fantasy dynasty and if you start with the real rosters and do realistic moves, then forget about the real trades or else your dynasty will never grow.

My point is that its up to you to find the middle ground between real and realistic that makes it the most fun and fascinating for you to enjoy the game at its most.

well said Goldberg, you want it to be realistic but you can't keep going back and editing rosters....draw a line in the sand and stick to it....

no i dont mean to make it accurate in real life, im still in my 1st season and i can still follow the nba transaction but come 2nd season i wont...
common guys just think there will be about 60 rookies in my dynasty so there no need to follow the nba transaction. also if any player sign with let say Stro swift sign with the bobcats i dont edit him and put him back to memphis... and if you just check my dynasty i trade walton to miami, i didnt follow the real nab trasaction....

but thanks for the vote and comments.... wont do the trade...
