Game Crashing

I've already posted this in the general forum, as I hadn't seen there was a separate technical forum...Whenever I start up Live, the game briefly comes up, but then it reverts back to the desktop (Live is still running). A message comes up for a short period of time, and it mentions something about my screen resolution not being 1024X768, although it is. Everytime I try to restore it, the same thing happens; it briefly flashes onto the screen but then minimizes itself. If anybody has any suggestions as to what's causing this it'd be much appreciated. Thanks

what video card are you using? also try different resolutions???
