I agree, some rappers (Jay-Z, Eminem, Tupac, Dre) have/had talent, but 99% of rappers follow these simple rules which require no talent whatsoever.
1) Wear an item of clothing with your name (or someone more famous' name) backwards.
2) Round up about five guys outside a 7-11 to be your entourage.
3) Act like you had a tough life growing up, because growing up in S. Cal., your parents only bought you a USED Porsche. The nerve of those bastards.
4) Find an even bigger, shinier iced up object to hang around your neck than the last guy. (Or just wear a band-aid on an area you have not been injured)
5) Last but not least, every one of your songs must include (in this order)
your name
the year
the name of the car you drive
list every item of clothing you're wearing (focus on the shoes)
list evrything that is blatantly obvious about the scantily clad hooker you have hanging off of you in your video.

That songs' lyrics are absolutley disgusting, and the hook is even worse. The beat isn't even amazing. It's just pretty good.
