The Mystery of Peter John Ramos

Postby selwyth on Wed Jan 12, 2005 5:39 pm

In the 2nd season of my dynasty, this rookie C Peter John Ramos was drafted early in the 2nd round by the Wizards. Interesting thing = during games when I played Washington, the commentators and the PA announcer would call him "Ramos", and he was introduced in the starting lineup with the announcer saying, "Starting at center...Peter John Ramos!" This is the only rookie I've seen who wasn't referred to as "Number XX".

Has anybody else experienced this? Who is this guy? Some developer's name which they put in as an easter egg? Anybody else had rookies who were referred to as something other than "Number XX"?

They also shortened Shareef's name for some of the commentating. For example, Marv says "What a move!, Abdur-Rahim"

Peter John Ramos is a rookie for Washington Wizards this season (2004/05).....he must still be considered a rookie in your dynasty in year 2 because he played 0 games in his first season....

so he ain't a created player....

That's right, Peter John Ramos is a real player in the NBA. He only played in 2-3 games this season.

If he appeared in 0 games during what should have been his rookie season, he'll be considered a rookie the following season (eg Nick Collison this season). As far as Ramos is concerned, isn't John actually part of his first name (or a middle name he attaches to his first name)?

thats kinda funny thing that if u play 0 games ur still a rookie, but if ur players dosnt play in a game, but those who play score, u still dont get the 250 points!?

You doesn't have to call him Peter John Ramos.

You can call him Pete, or you can call him Peter.

You can call him John.

Or you can call him Ramos.

You can call him Peter Ramos.

Or you can call him John Ramos.

Or you can call him PJ.

Or you can call him PJ Ramos.

But ya doesn't have to call him Peter John Ramos.
