A patch for new graphics cards!? PLEASE HELP!

HELLO I AM FROM GREECE. I AM STEVE AND I REALLY LIKE NBA 2000, IT IS THE ONLY GOOD BASKETBALL GAME! BEFORE I BOUGHT MY OLD PC, IT WAS WORKING FINE, BUT WHEN I BOUGHT THE NEW ONE IT DID NOT EVEN STARTED. I HAVE THE GRAPHICS CARD 9600XT ATI RADEON ASUS, 3.2 GHZ P4, 1GB RAM, AND WINDOWS XP SP2. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT PLAY!? ANY PATCHES FOR GRAPHICS CARDS, OR SOME TRICKS? THANK YOU

You can try tweaked drivers available at http://www.omegadrivers.net/ ; it worked for my ATI Radeon 9200 SE

Did this work for your ATI Radeon 9600XT? I have the same card but cannot get the game to run unless under software mode which sucks!!

Looked back over some earlier posts and found this worked!
Right click on desktop.
CLick on settings tab.
GO to direct 3D tab.
Click on "compatability settings" button at bottom right of this screen
Disable DXT.
This worked for my Radeon 9600XT - hope it works for you.
