Exorcist, switch the c & s, no biggie

Yea the part where she came down the steps upside down and backwards on her fingers and toes

that was fuckin' scary
Yes!! That was incredibly disturbing, and I watched that movie for the first time in my girlfriend's basement - surround sound 60" widescreen TV with the lights off

Scariest movie I've ever seen.
As for the other movies, The Ring, The Grudge, the Jason's and Freddy's are not that particularily scary. The scary movies seem to be the disturbing ones for me like Mulholland Drive and Requiem for a Dream.

The Exorcist
Childs Play Trilogy

I am at school right now, but I will list some more when i get home
I saw them all. I want a scary movie that would make me piss in my pants.

Asian horror movies rock, no censorship or short cuts hehe
Japanese version of the ring trilogy

(Y)
Exorcist definetely
Childs play

everything after 2 sux though.
I liked the opening to Ghost Ship, everyone on the top deck getting sliced by the anchor cable

(Y)(Y).
When I saw 'IT' as a kid, it scared the shit out of me. Kinda like Kramer heeh
Crazy Joe dressed as a clown-"Are you still scared of Clowns?"
kramer- "....yeh

"
All the horror movies of the 90's and onwards suck

too diluted. To cater for the mainstream I guess who just want to make out.

I still haven't seen Ringu though, but the Japanese version of the Grudge was very disappointing.
Fri Jan 07, 2005 12:18 pm
I saw the Grudge in theatre and I was very disappointed
I thought the Ring was quite scary at times but it was real slow for the most part
"It" scared the living hell out of me as well
But for scary movies that will scare the piss out of you, I haven't gotten around to catching any of those flicks, as Jowe said the Japanese versions of scary movies seem pretty scary the way he puts it, but I had never even heard of a Japanese video store until now

A good scary movie with no nudity (parents always around )
no such thing, titty and death go hand-in-hand
has anyone seen "Cherry Falls" or something. People find out that a killer is killing virgins, so all the teenagers gather in an abandoned house and start having orgies

haha, this fat dude trades in his CD's so he can screw a hot chick

the first time i saw 'candyman' i was freaked out for a month. i was scared to even look in the mirror when i was by myself
those japanense flicks are good recomendations. a few of them are being brought over to stateside but are being re-done american style
Sat Jan 08, 2005 4:51 am
^^ i don't remember the storyline for candyman but i remember being scared shitless as well..
other movies that scared me:
it (when i was little; watched it recently wasn't as scary anymore)
childs play 1, 2 and 3
exorcist
the ring (when i watched it the first time)
Sat Jan 08, 2005 4:55 am
the storyline for candyman
Say Candyman 5 times into the mirror, then huge black man with hook appears and kills your ass.
Sat Jan 08, 2005 6:02 am
Yea after I watched Candyman for the first time I was afraid to brush my teeth for the fact that I would have to look in the mirror
I was afraid I would bend over to spit out my toothpaste and then look up and someone would be behind me
Sat Jan 08, 2005 10:04 am
lol.
I liked the scary movies but my favorite was mos def the My Germs scene lol.

Anyone who liked the movie "IT" should definitely read the book. It's fantastic, and a bit creepy too... although it's hard to get some sort of atmosphere, like turn all the lights off to read it... fucks up your eyesight
Sat Jan 08, 2005 10:46 pm
lol reading with the lights off, sure will bring a new dimension to it for sure.

I've actually almost read the whole book. Unfourtanly I didn't get through the whole book and had to return it back, but I got over page 1000 I remember.
And the end sucks anyway so maybe not that big of a lose. I found the book very scary as well.

Im reading the Hobbit on my pocketpc(reads perfect in the dark), only just past chapter 3, its really good so far, I hope they make it into a movie. As recomended, I think "IT" will be my next read, loved the movie......Ahh GeorgieGirl. Steven King goes on alot though, last book of his that I read was "Needful Things", it was pretty boring. If you have not seen it I suggest you watch "The Shining" you will shit your pants.
Sun Jan 09, 2005 12:27 am
The book is actually better than the movie so you'll probably enjoy it. Steven King does have a tendancy to make his books gigantic and un-foldable

bastard. Although you probably wouldn't fold your pocketpc

Has anybody seen Event Horizon & Gothika?
Sun Jan 09, 2005 12:56 am
Event Horizon yes... what a queer and a half movie... Gothika no, I wanted to hire that. Is it any good?
Sun Jan 09, 2005 1:16 am
Are you saying that you dont like Event Horizon?
Gothika aint bad, good story and it has Halle Berry, what more could you ask for
Here's a couple of stinkers you wont miss.
Cold Creek Manor, really really bad movie, they sold the tickets with the trailer, avoid like the plague.
Dreamcatcher, a Steven King book turned into a film with stupidest plot you could ever imagined. You'll love the Gun-Phone scene, that shit was funny but it wasnt ment to be.
Sun Jan 09, 2005 1:19 am
Yeah Event Horizon wasn't really my thing, although that bit towards the end where they were showing flashes of what Hell was like had alot of potential.
Sun Jan 09, 2005 2:23 am
I think Event Horizon was cool and new.
That scene when they are translating what's happening on the radio is really scary, even worse when you got to see what's happening.
Sun Jan 09, 2005 5:31 am
Gothika wasnt a scary movie. It was a more of a suspense than horror.
Sun Jan 09, 2005 5:57 am
I have yet to see either one of those, or read the "IT"
I dont remember the trailor to Even Horizon
I remember the name but I cant think of it, whats it about?
Sun Jan 09, 2005 6:07 am
Event Horizon as a movie wasn't that great, but the scary parts were pretty damn scary! It's about this haunted sci-fi spaceship that has evil powers and people suddenly start to get killed because of mysterious powers.. and the ending has a little twist to it.
I'm curious about Gothika, and my girlfriend wanted to see it too, but the reviews weren't very encouraging.
Anyone see Dead Alive?
Also, I'm curious about Rosemary's Baby. It's an old Roman Polanski film, but it got excellent reviews, so have anyone seen that one?
