how about Nash?
at first i was thinking about Lebron of course... but then the questions similar to Melo being on it this year start picking at me... why does this guy who has only played 3 years get to be a cover boy of 2006...
a guy like Nash has put in his dues for many years... hes also at a disadvantage against other players cuz of his size but he still gets it done... plus the guy is a Passer.. i feel like passers get overshadowed by dunkers and scorers... dunks are fine but a guy who can pass and has that godlike courtvision is a REAL baller... theres no question he knows his basketball

Archibald!!!
Sun Jan 02, 2005 3:30 pm
Kobe Bryant or Yao Ming

kobe wont get it, not after his rapeage. however, i now think dwyane wade will be on it, every1 likes him. otherwise obviously lebron. i think ea might screw us over and giv us som1 stupid like richard jefferson
Sun Jan 02, 2005 3:47 pm
Richard Jefferson's not stupid!

I read that a large factor for Melo getting picked for the 2005 cover was because he was on the cover for the NCAA game by EA (March Madness?)

Steve Nash

Jay Williams, assuming some team is interested in taking a risk on his ability to make a comeback. All the suggestions of putting an established star on there are boring, why not something from left field I say.

I think they probably need an established star on the cover just to target that little kid audience of about 7-14. Those guys are the ones who are going to be influenced by who's on the cover, same as games like David Beckham Soccer... which was absolute shit, but sold well because it was named after David Beckham.
Personally I'd like to see someone unexpected on the cover aswell, Earl Boykins or something.
