Gamepad

Postby Eliminator12 on Wed Jan 05, 2005 1:35 am

I have 2 game pads hooked up to my pc. They both work for every game except nba live 2005. My gravis eliminator works fine for nba 2005, because it is on the configure list. My madcatz controller, which is not on the configure list does not work. I was wondering if there was a patch that could help me add my madcatz controller to the configure list. Also, my alleyoop button works in the individual practice mode, but not at all in games. Maybe you have ideas about this.

Thanks

You can only do alley-oops in practice mode n in the all-star games n not in actual games i believe. And about the controllers, i have no idea.

Ok, seems kind of wierd that you would only be able to do alleyoops in the allstar game. The computer can do them all the time.

You can configure gamepads not listed. Start with the Generic setup, configure the buttons and all analog sticks and D-pads. Then save the settings. The game does not support using the D-pad to call offensive/defensive plays for every gamepad. The Gravis Eliminator Aftershock is one of those.

Mad catz is a pain when it comes to Live2005 because it doesnt come with any software to remap buttons or anything... i have a Mad Catz PC controller that looks like a Xbox controller too... and i cannot configure the left and right triggers to any functions... if you have a PS2 style controller you will easily be able to reconfigure or remap your buttons but there is not remapping for trigger buttons because the programmers of the PC port of the game forgot to include

Actually, you can do normal alley-oops in all game modes except individual practice. It's the off-the-backboard toss that you can only do in the all-star game and individual practice. The normal alley-oop requires you to press the alley-oop button. The off-the-backboard toss requires you to press the off-ball button.
