A method to let your created player in the draft

Postby kevingarnett2121 on Thu Dec 30, 2004 12:40 am

Sorry for my poor english, I'm going to try my best :oops:

After created a player, then enter the DYNASTY MODE, save the game
Use a DBF editor to edit the player.dbf
:arrow: Change the created player's team number to "39"
:arrow: Change the "INSEASON" form "-1" to "0" (if not, his "years pro" will become "1" in next season)
:arrow: The following fields represent the grade of the rookie in the "SCOUTING REPORT" screen

PBLOCKS=FG
POFFREB=3PT
PASSISTS=FT
PPERFOUL=Ins.Scr
PSTEALS=Dunk
PBEFREB=Steal
PTURNOVER=Block
PGAMES=O.Reb
PGSTART=D.Reb
PEJECT=Pass
CPFGATT=O.Aware
PMINUTES=D.Aware
CPFGMAD=Drible
CPTHREEATT=Quick
CPFTMAD=Speed
CPTHREEMAD=Jump
CPFTATT=Strgth
CPBLOCKS=Stamina
CPOFFREB=Hardiness
CPASSISTS=Primacy

You must enter the number between 0-99, the above fields are blank in default
If you enter 99 for PEJECT, his grade of PASS will be A or A+
If you enter 50, the grade will be about D
If you leave it blank or enter 0, the grade will be E- or E

At the off-season rookie scouting, if you 1 on 1 to ypur created player, his rating will be the same when created.
In the next season, his rating will not be the same when created.
It will translate from the scouting grade before.

Not right now. The game's only been out 2 months. We'll be more concerned with next years class around june or july.

That's pretty cool, but isn't it weird how PBLOCKS=FG? And the rest...

Oh well, good info. I'll try it out. :lol:

Only if a utility is developed to import data after a Dynasty is started. Otherwise, it's impossible to add the rookies to a roster patch, as they'll just be wiped when the user starts a new Dynasty.

Well, if there was a patch that was made, maybe instructions could tell the person to copy and paste the info over to the other player.dbf. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but it's worth a try.

It seems like it would work unless you actually have to go to create player for every rookie.
