I can't decide what to do

Thu Dec 30, 2004 12:28 am

I just bought "NBA Live 2005". I can't decide what "game mode" to play. Should I play "season" or "dynasty"? If I'm correct you can only have one team in "dynasty". I belive you can have two team in "season". Well, if I played "dynasty" I would control the Lakers. If I played a season I would control the Lakers and the Heat. What "mode" do you think I should play? Also I only play two to three minutes a quarter. Also do you think I should play "rookie" difficulty or a "starter" difficulty. Also how many fouls so I permit in two to three minutes? Finally which rosters should I use, or should I have a fantasy draft? I need sliders for "rookie", or "starter" two to three minutes.

Pick dynasty because Seasions is gay. Well dy nasty is in more dephth and you can control as many teams you want in dynasty.

Play 2 Dynasties instead of season so you could develop your team as the dynasty progress. I think 7 minute quarters is the most realistic when it comes to score but sim quarter should be 12 minutes so the CPU has a chance of winning an award. Start with All-star and use Andrew's sliders, then just make modifications as you go depending on your preference. =) It's a great game. Enjoy =)

So the stats will be the same if I play 7 and the CPU plays 12

I have a question that I've been wanting to ask: do sliders affect the stats in simulated games?

Thu Dec 30, 2004 3:31 am

Yes. Well the sliders will affect how they play which will affect the stats i think. Im sure they will but not totally....

i would always do dynasty- because in season, there's no way to keep going. in dynasty- you can keep going if you want to.

I think he was referring to the console version. I don't think you can even play other games in dynasty, but your own team's games.

Well, Rookie would be too easy, because do you really want to go 82-0, on the easiest difficulty.

if you've never played nba live before, just start on rookie and see how you do. starter is a bit harder than rookie....allstar is for when you're familiar with nba live, and superstar is for experts

I have 03, 04, and now I have 05. If I had rookie I would be 75-7 probally. If I had starter I would be 60-22.

Yeah, the CPU will still have competative stats against you. That is if you are able to score 80-85 points a game, 30rebs, 21asts, 7stls, and 5blks.

Yeah I can do that. Thanks man,
