Can anyone recommend a good joypad for this game on PC?

Doesn't dual just mean two analog sticks.?.?.?

I use the logitech wingman cordless and i havent had any problems with it....battery cost maybe....but thats it

I am using PS2 gamepad. In my opinion this is the best gamepad which is availible on the market.

Are these adapters for the PS2 controller expensive?? How much are them?? Are these adapters hard to find, can anyone suggest an specific adapter?? Thank you.

There are various prices for the adapters. You can probably find a good deal on E-Bay.

I own two different versions of teh Dual Action gamepad and never have problems with it. I have had one of them for a month and the other for like 5 months. They both see alot of playing time and have no problems with them whatsoever. For those that have problems I would guess that they are a little to aggressive with the button mashing

Get the new Logitech Rumblepad 2! Forcefeedback, Dual Analog with a toggle mode and the ability to turn off the forcefeedback from the controller itself. The nice thing is that the buttons in all the games I've played with it correspond to what the PS2 buttons would do in the same game on the Playstations 2. A USB adapter for a PS2 controller would be the next best thing, although you'd probably have to remap the buttons.

how do you even get the Logitech Rumblepad 2 to work as a rumblepad? I can't get it to rumble in nba live...

What good controllers with the PS2 controller configuration are there? I have the Gravis Gamepad Pro but there are so many things I can't do because there are no anolog sticks. Any suggestions?

i had 2 Logitech Dual Action controllers... they were amazing when they worked... but i think Logitech manufactured a large amount of defective controllers and kept replacing them for those who knew to demand for one until they found the problem...

it seemed as tho it was the potentiometer in the left analog stick that kept wearing out faster than expected (considering the left analog is used more often than the right)... heavy use or moisture could be the main cause of the problem.. a number of well respected gaming reviews have found the same problems.. nonetheless the series of faulty potentiometers were not durable and im not sure Logitech has since fixed the problem

the logitech is very nice in design... the closest in size and shape to the ps2 controller... i say if you are lucky enough to get one that does not wear out go for it... but a simple google on the product will give you quite a bit of reviews of how poor the product is... its NOT an isolated incident..

I have now a Nyko Air Flo EX... it works great... it has a fan to airrate your hands... its slightly larger than the Logitech because of the fan... and quite noticable if you have small hands...

it has a nice feature to remap your buttons to allow you to use the controller even as a mouse or keyboard... example in NBALive you can map your analog stick to mimick mouse movement... so that you dont have to switch to using your mouse when in the menu... you can continue using your controller to move the pointer and another button to act as a mouse click...

one draw back for the Nyko is that its not recognized by EA games... so theres no automatic button settings for it and will recognize it as "generic" settings... so you will have to setup your own configurations and save it... then everytime you load the game you have to look for your controller settings...

I was stupid to belive that the Logitech Rumble pad was good, I was just playing Nhl 2005 and my players were just stuck doing auto deke. I found out that it was the gamepads fault. But my nba live 05 works perfectly.

I once owned Logitech Rumblepad (1) to play the classic NBA Live 2003. When NBA Live 2004 drawed near, my Rumblepad was starting to get worse. By the time NBA 2004 came, the Rumblepad couldn't be used because its two analog sticks were broken.

And I've just bought Dual Action, and it works great (for now) . I hope it stays that way until NBA Live 2006.

And for those Logitech gamepad owners, is it possible to control the mouse cursor in the game using the gamepad and how?

i bought two rumble pads and both got screwed in like 6 months or so.... dont buy any of those logitech controllers... they are really crap, those damn analog sticks break down because of moisture... i am getting myself two usb adapter (ps2 to pc)....

Logitech Dual Action gamepad its only $10 Canadaian so its probaly like $8 in the U.S. I use it and it works perfectly for Live and any other game./

i use a PS2 controller for my game, it works great, using 12 buttons and analog sticks for freestyle. You have to buy a USB converter though costs about 10.00 off ebay.

I have to agree and say the PS2 is the best imo. I went through two logitech dual action or whatever there called in a matter of months. Its not setup for that type of constant movement I guess.

definitely ps2 controller with a converter. better investment than buying a pc-only controller that's easily damaged. converter = best investment if u also have a ps2.

so instead i got just a generic rip-off of the logitech.....it's by gamer's factory......been using it since 2004. great gamepad.

that's the one i have and i absolutely love it. no problems at all. i use with with nba, madden and fifa 2005 without any problems.

THE CHEAP CONTROLLER FOR PC ITS ABOUT TEN DOLLARS. IT LOOKS LIKE A PLAYSTATION CONTROLLER BUT ITS FOR PC

Yeah that's right STAY AWAY FROM THE DUAL ACTION! IT IS DEFECTIVE, THE STICKS WILL LOSE THEIR CALIBRATION. The only way to fix it is to replug it into the computer where it will auto calibrate itself again and be good for about an hour.. (or even 5 minutes).

Would someone be kind enough to explain how you managed to get 2005 working with the XBox controller with a PC/USB converter?

I have one and I've been playing 2004 with my XBox controller just fine, but for whatever reason, when I loaded 2005 it didn't save my settings when I created them in the controller field. It continually defaults back into KEYBOARD control mode.

It's really starting to tick me off. I had a similar problem with the 2004 version of MVP baseball recognizing my Saitek 2500 game controller. So far it's happened with new EA Sports titles.
