u can either use the cheap way and edit the dbf and ur team wont be the cap and then u can sign, other than that the only way i kno is either trading players from ur team to another team to clear up cap space or gotta wait till when some of ur players' contract are up to have some more cap space

Tue Dec 28, 2004 9:25 am

what dbf. do i have to edit?

Tue Dec 28, 2004 11:57 am

what do i put in the Player.dbf to get high cap space.
Here are some thing that im not sure you have to edit in the players.dbf.

CASH_YEAR: Player's salary for the current year. Values appear to be in millions of dollars without the final three digits.
ie.
14625 = $14.625 million
1210 = $1.21 million
CASH_TOTAL: Cash required to sign player. Values appear to be in millions of dollars without the final three digits.
ie.
14625 = $14.625 million
1210 = $1.21 million
CASH_RAISE: Player's annual raise - used for contracts that are not divided evenly over the number of years. Values appear to be in millions of dollars without the final three digits.
ie.
14625 = $14.625 million
1210 = $1.21 million
121 = $121000

i dont kno how to raise the cap space of a team as whole but only way i kno is for u to lower the cash of the players on ur team and then u wont be paying them as much so not as much cap space used...

Tue Dec 28, 2004 1:05 pm

The easiest way to create more cap space is to reduce the salary of players on your team.

????............. :?

i think you just got confused. creating MORE cap space is GOOD THING. the more cap space you have, the better a player you can sign

Tue Dec 28, 2004 1:45 pm

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! :x
Im going crazy.(sighs) ok how do i do that Donatello?

Tue Dec 28, 2004 3:06 pm

To create more cap space (or if you prefer, lower the total salaries for your team), edit the SALARY field for the players on your team.

Tue Dec 28, 2004 3:52 pm

what do i out on the salary fields of my players?

Tue Dec 28, 2004 3:53 pm

like Andrew said, lower the salary of ur players which will cause you to have more salary... :roll:

Tue Dec 28, 2004 3:54 pm

edit the MIN_TARGET field of that certain player you want to sign to 0
by doing this you can sign that player for the minimum... signing a player for the minimum means you can go over the cap. :wink:

Tue Dec 28, 2004 4:17 pm

Of course, even easier. :doh:

Tue Dec 28, 2004 11:05 pm

i put 0 for a created player i want to sign and it still doesnt let me?

Tue Dec 28, 2004 11:20 pm

I play on PS2 but when this thing happen i usually just include some other player that would make the traded salaries within 15% of each other. I'll trade a player i seldom use to a player that the other team doesn't use also, and because of his low rating anyway the other team would still accept the trade. So it's basically just trying to match the salaries of the traded players.

if Hes Created what team is he on?

Wth you talking about?

Wed Dec 29, 2004 2:16 am

Free Agents :D

Wed Dec 29, 2004 2:18 am

:O Ooohhh.. lol.

Wel reduce his salary too so he only wants like 2 Bucks lol. Or just go into players and edit it so it says hes on your team. (what team are you using?)

Open teams.dbf to see hwat your TeamID is then go back into players.dbf and change your created players team to the team your on so you wont have to go through the hassle of signing him and wasting your money =p
